Toby & Odin - French Mastiff brothers šŸ¶šŸ¶šŸ¾šŸ¾šŸ¦“šŸ¦“

What a pleasure it has been to work with these two brothers and their family!

Toby & Odin enrolled in our Hybrid Puppy Program - they got started with puppy lessons and transitioned to a Board & Train at 6 months of age. Their owners surely invested in their long term success and it truly paid off.

Both puppies had some major confidence building to work on. Additionally, their guardian breed tendencies combined with their sheer size and strength made it impossible to enjoy taking them in public before training.

Now they have beautiful leash manners and can navigate public environments in a way that makes taking them in public very enjoyable. Which is great because they are striking and draw attention everywhere they go.

Now their owners continue the work on their own and with their complimentary follow up lessons that come with every adult Board and Train program we offer.

We are excited to continue to see them thrive!

Willow and Nellie - two dogs who could lend towards leash reactivity, but have accomplished beautiful leash manners through clear communication and consistency.

One went through a Board & Train. The other did Private Lessons. Both have achieved the same result.

Itā€™s not just obedience - itā€™s about giving meeting their physical needs through movement, proper enrichment, purposeful decompression, a clear communication system, motivation, impulse control and overall leadership and balance. You canā€™t cherry pick parts of it - youā€™ve got to work with the whole dog - the physical part and the mindset.

But the results are worth it!

Freedom K9 Clients!!!
Bring your pup and join us for our first Freedom K9 Christmas Party! We are taking over (a brewery) for a 2 hour party for the pups (and YOU)!

There will be games and prizes so you wonā€™t want to miss out on the fun!

**Dress your pup (and you) up in something festive!!! A prize will be given to the best dressed dog!

**Additional games for the dogs will be had. Hint: practice your dogā€™s ā€œsitā€ and and their treat eating skillsā€¦

** The brewery has drinks on tap and food to order.

** We will be outside, so dress warm. They have fire pits and you may also take your dog inside to order (we just canā€™t linger and socialize with dogs inside.

**There MAY be a visit from The Grinch for photo opportunities.

This time is simply fun and fellowship. No learning will be had. Please take advantage of the food and drinks the brewery has to offer and please keep distance between dogs for safety.

I call this one: itā€™s freaking cold and rainy so the Sh*tzus take on every indoor environment we can.

Poor Phoebe will be wearing a jacket from here on out.

They are being great sports about it, but Mikko and Phoebe were made for comfortā€¦not whatever weather Mother Nature has been throwing at us lately.

Nala graduated from her Board & Train program yesterday and went home to a beautifully decorated Christmas home and lots of love from Mom.

Prior to her Board & Train, she was a sweet dog, but would chew on inappropriate items (remotes), eat yucky things out of the cat box, have potty accidents in inappropriate places and was extremely selective in her recall.

Now she has increased impulse control, a stellar recall, increased decompression on and off place and impeccable leash manners.

We are so proud of her progress and canā€™t wait for updates from her mom as they navigate the holidays with her newfound skills.
