How do you like to raise your grow-outs?
We raise our kits with theirs moms in cages and then transition them to a grow-out colony on the floor in a 12x12 stall with washable mats underneath. Trouble makers are separated as needed into cages and rabbits are separated by s*x no later than 12 weeks.

Kits are growing fast! It was a hot one today, so babies abandoned the nest boxes to stay cool on the floor where they get better airflow. It's important to stay as hand-off as possible in hot days, so the babies develop the ability to keep themselves cool. I always watch for signs of heat stress, but do my best not to intervene unless absolutely neccessary. I have frozen water bottles on standby, if needed.

Dunn's Critter Transport just picked up 4 of our Rex kits and I cannot tell you how impressed I am with the cleanliness on their bus!!! She is always so organized, professional and treats the rabbits with absolute love and respect (even the spicy ones šŸ¤£). Words cannot express how greatful I am for Phil and Elena. They perform health checks before allowing animals to board. They sleep on the bus with the bunnies and stay with them the whole time they have them, to make sure the animals are safe, healthy and the climate control is always working as it should! I'm a customer for life!
Here's a peak on my new arrivals that have been in transport for 7 weeks and had a layover at the Dunn home!
