New Zealand Doe Snickers and New Zealand Buck Leo gave us some really nice kits this litter! We have a Broken Blue, two Broken Lilac, a Broken Black, a Black Self and a CHOCOLATE!!! ❤️❤️❤️ As usual for Snickers, they are BIG kits! So excited to see how they grow and develop 😍 All are Vienna Carriers and Vienna Mark. If you want to add Dilue Colors, Chocolate, Blue Eyed White or White Markings to your program, these guys can make it happen! Happy Hopping!

Warning: Cuteness overload! These kits are really developing beautifully 😍
Can't wait to find out the genders! They're a bit too young for me to be sure on the genders just yet. I'm seeing several Japanese Blue Fawn Harlequin Kits, Blue Magpie, Chocolate Magpie, Lilac Magpie and a Sable.

Just picked up this beauty from transport today. She spent 3.5 weeks traveling across the United States to get here ❤️ Thank you Dunn's Critter Transport for taking excellent care of her on her journey. I've been asked several times why I would choose this type of transport vs. Shipping through airline cargo. Let's talk about it for a minute. Rabbits are extremely sensitive to stress, temperature changes and dehydration. They can go into GI Stasis and die. That said, ground transport can be just as risky and have the same results, if in the wrong person's care.

Choosing a transport service can be a gamble. Make sure you get referrals from people who have used the service, whenever possible. Choose a service that has an excellent reputation and reviews. Remember that even with the best transport service, your rabbit can still become stressed and lose weight, become sick or even die. It is a risk you take when choosing a rabbit a long distance from you.

I chose Dunn's because I read a lot of excellent reviews and they came highly recommended by other trusted sources in the industry. I read their agreement and felt that they are extremely thorough and organized with caring for the rabbits in their care. They give a vitamin booster in the water, provide fresh hay all day and perform a health check before accepting an animal for transport. They keep the vehicle air conditioned, clean the cages regularly throughout the journey and even sleep on board with the animals to ensure their health and safety. They themselves are show breeders and know how to spot a problem, before it gets out of hand. It doesn't get much better than that folks. We're all done kindling for this round and it was stressful this time around 😨!
Total 28 kits between 4 Does

Snickers x Leo - 6 Healthy Kits
Luna x Leo - 11 healthy kits
Oreo x Leo - 1 kit
Sally x Snowball - 10 healthy kits

Luna got us started and did AMAZING as usual. She's a Rockstar and she knows it.

Snickers did great, but left her nest a little wet and I cleaned up the nest and removed her stillborn.

Oreo was next. She had one and then the trouble started. Her kits began to get chilled as she struggled with her second kit. Unfortunately, it was almost 24 hours before she was able to pass her second kit and afterbirth.. it was touch and go the whole time. I gave her a couple doses of Tums mixed in water. I think it helped keep her going. I had to keep her Singleton warm, so while she labored, I carried her kits around in my bra. Eventually I decided to foster 3 of Luna's kits to Oreo, to keep Keep Oreo's kit warm. Oreo was so worried about her baby while she working to have her second kit. I didn't want her to lose her baby. She's so excited to be able to raise 4 babies now 🥰

Last, Sally had her kits. She waited until 3am and she likes to dig her nest too deep in the box, then leaves the kits a little too damp. I changed out the damp bedding with dry and got the kits all tucked in for her. Finally got to bed at 4am. That's okay because I love my buns and am just very involved in their health and wellbeing.

Snowball is our Blue Sable Magpie Buck. He makes the prettiest babies 🤩. We get Frosty, Chocolate Magpie, Blue Magpie, Blue Sable, Lilac Sable, Lilac Magpie and Japanese Blue Fawn Harlequin Kits when we pair him with Sally, our Japanese Blue Fawn Harlequin Doe. Introducing our new Lynx colored Rex Doe Elsa of Dandelion Dust Bunnies 😍. She's the larger of these 2. Had these two out evaluating conformation, fur quality and color. The smaller guy is out of Sally and Chip. He's an Astrex Carrier and Vienna Carrier 9 week old Buck. I'm still trying to think of a good name for him and his Fawn sister. Suggestions welcome!
