Sasha was hit by a car in the city of Rochester as you may have heard. Some wonderful member of the Rochester Police Department donated and covered ALL of her veterinary expenses. Last week, as social media was buzzing that Sasha was on the euthanasia list at Lollypop, w
hich she wasn't, Operation GYPSY received a call. The first call was from an Officer asking for our help in getting Sasha into a rescue, specifically Pitty Love Rescue and Operation GYPSY agreed to speak with them. The second call was from an Investigator with the RPD who had helped pay for Sasha's vet bills. The request for help was official and the wheels were in motion. Pitty Love Rescue agreed to work with Tails of Success trainers to evaluate Sasha at Lollypop Farm. The next day two trainers and the head of PLR made arrangements with Lollypop to meet and evaluate Sasha. The conclusion was Sasha needed some training and work on some issues that were developing after the stresses of her injury. With PLR fosters full and Sasha needing to decompress it was decided she would stay at Tails of Success where her lessons and rehabilitation could be monitored. Sasha will be in training at Tails of Success for at least three weeks. Sasha is still looking for a foster home or a family to adopt her and go through her training with her. If you're interested in fostering or adopting Sasha, please contact us here or call 585-732-8001. Operation GYPSY and Pitty Love Rescue agreed to raise the funds for Sasha's training and care over the next few weeks. Every little bit helps. Please visit Sasha's page to watch her progress and donate if you can. Donations can be made through pittyloverescue.org or operationgypsy.org . Donations are tax deductible and please make a note that your donation is for Sasha. If you prefer not to donate online you can contact Tails of Success directly to donate at 360-0030. The Rochester Police Department group that stepped forward to pay Sasha's vet bills, Pitty Love Rescue, Operation GYPSY and Sasha thank-you!
