UPDATE: We named her Patsy and she has left for her new foster-to-adoption home.

INITIAL POST: This dog was found at large on Wednesday 8/26/2026 in the area of Dewey Ave and Barnard St. She stayed with the finder until today when she was placed in our care.

UPDATE: No one came for him. We named him Kirk and he is now available for adoption. Visit https://greeceny.gov/departments/animal-services/animal-services-pet-adoption/ to see all of the pets available or soon to be available, get pre-approved to adopt, and submit a request for a specific pet.

Teddy was reunited with his grandma today. He was found wandering by Greece Police early this morning and was brought to the Greece Animal Shelter. We scanned him and detected a microchip. Due to the early hour, we had not yet heard back from the microchip registry when the owner and owner's mother called our office. Teddy's grandma arrived a few minutes later for a tearful reunion. They left with info on setting up free pet profiles with Petco Love Lost and with DocuPet.
