To answer a couple questions she had, and others, our Social Media guru will be posting links to our donation sites for cash donations. We should have a Chewy wish list this week.
We go through a minimum of 26 bags/ boxes of litter a month. Light weight tidy cat is our usual go to, tho any light weight, fragrance free, is great!!!
That's a lot yes, but I'm kind of a clean freak and hate a dirty toilet so I treat litter boxes the same.
We go through approximately four 17 lb bags of cat kibble a month, plus help local colony feeders as often as we can.
We make our own wet food, adding vitamins and omega's that most canned foods are lacking, plus we don't add fillers. Meat, pumpkin, greens, L-Lysine, Taurine and Omagas. That's it. We mix our food with Friskies since most adopting families won't be making their food. We don't want the kitties having tummy issues in their new homes. Our personal cats and the nuggets get only our food so the wee ones grow strong and healthy. This is a lot of info, I'm sorry, but I want to be transparent with our donors and friends.
Food and litter are top priorities every month, along with vet visits of course. That's another post in itself, lol.
To our fabulous donors!!!! Huzzah and thank you. Sadly, there was no note so I'm not sure where this came from but thank you thank you. I love a fun puzzle project and the wee nuggets are gonna love this. And, of course food is always a big hit. We love our donors 😻😺😻

We are so very Blessed! Thank you Cal Meeks for your wonderful, generous and kind donation!!! You seriously went above any expectations we could have. The smallest 2 of our nuggets, the micros, are loving life in their new enclosure, the milk supplement is always needed, litter always needed and the 4 minis have already shared 2 churus 😻

Well, these 2 nuggets just came to us from the city of Rochelle. They were found near Mama Bears. They are the very last kitties we can take at this time! They are covered in fleas, so after a good lunch of goats milk supplement, they are getting what I'm assuming will be their first baths. They are cute, fluffy and very friendly. I'm guessing another dump, grrrr. They are safe, they will be vetted, Katz Veterinary Services, LLC and they will be up for adoption once they are fixed and cleared to adopt.

We are sorry to say that we can no longer take in anymore cats or kittens at this time. Not because we're busting at the seams, which we are, but every kitten we get costs close to $500 in vet bills in the first 4 months. That doesn't include supplemental milk, food, litter, enclosures to keep them separated until vetted, toys and snacks. We set out to do good for our community but, besides 2 awesome donors, we aren't getting the support we had hoped for. We will continue to care for those we have now as long as they are with us, but our investment in this is running low and we just can't take on anymore.
Please!!!! Fix your cats!!!!! Fix your dogs!!!! We cannot take on anyone's irresponsibility any longer.

The little nuggets do so well at their first vet appt. First round of shots, f***l test and FIV test. I'm happy to say they came up negative on both tests. They stopped to see some friends on the way home and got lots of hugs and cuddles. Came home, gobbled their food like a Hobbit and passed out. Big day for the wee tiny nuggets!

Well now aren't these 2 little nuggets just adorable? Dozer, or Sir Nugget of the Bulldozer, is the orange and Little Miss Connie is the tiger. 6 and 7 weeks. They are eating all the homemade puree, almost done with milk. They go to the vet this week for their first check up, testing and 1st round of shots. They are cuddly, feisty, sassy and growing strong!
