Providing wholesome integrative veterinary medicine delivered with integrity, compassion, and love.

B'ahava ("with love" in Hebrew) serves as the foundation of how we practice TCVM and supports the overall wellbeing of your pet. Our services compliment and supplement the care other veterinary health professionals provide for your pet. TCVM introduces additional options from Eastern medicine such as acupuncture, herbal therapy, food therapy, and Tui-Na (medical massage). Dr. Levin-Russo completed her undergraduate education at Texas A&M University and veterinary school at Iowa State University. She has always had a passion for the power of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) to support her patients and soon after graduating began undergoing additional training on TCVM through Chi University. In addition to being a licensed Veterinarian in Texas, she is currently a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, Certified Veterinary Food Therapist, and Certified Veterinary Tui-na Practitioner. She is currently taking additional classes toward a Masters of Science in TCVM. Please call our office to learn more about our services and schedule an appointment.

We have some spooktacular news—the B’ahava team is packing up our treat bags and heading to Trick or Treat on Oak Street this Halloween! 👻✨
Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 31st from 5:00 to 8:00 PM for an evening full of free trick-or-treating, great games, and wonderful community spirit right here in the heart of town. 🍁🧡 And pet parents, you know we wouldn’t miss this: the Dog Costume Contest kicks off at 6:00 PM at City Hall Plaza! 🐶👑 We cannot wait to see all of your fur babies dressed up in their funniest, cutest, and spookiest best. 🐕🦇

We are also joining the Teal Pumpkin Project, who's goal is to raise food allergy awareness and offering the option of non-food trinkets and toys in a separate bowl makes Halloween safer and more fun for all trick-or-treaters. If your pup insists on acting as your personal bathroom bouncer, here is what’s actually going on behind that cute, boundary-free behavior:

❤️Pure Love & FOMO: Dogs don't understand human privacy or bathroom taboos—they just know you vanished behind a closed door and they want to be near their favorite person.
🛡️Myth Busted: Internet theories claim your dog is "protecting" you while you're vulnerable, but dog behavior experts call that total nonsense!
😟 Is It Separation Anxiety? Usually, no. True separation anxiety typically comes with distress signs like destructive behavior, accidents, or excessive barking.
💡Need Some Space? You can kindly train an "outside" or "place" cue using positive reinforcement, rewarding your dog for settling on a cozy mat outside the door with a favorite chew toy.
🔒Safety First: If you don't mind the company, just ensure trash cans are secured, toxic items are put away, and toilet lids stay closed!

Halloween sweets are fun for humans, but dangerous for our dogs and cats! 👻🍫 Keep these toxic hazards far out of reach from curious paws: 👇

🍫 Chocolate: Highly toxic (theobromine and caffeine) to both dogs and cats, threatening their hearts and nervous systems! ⚠️🐕🐈
🍬 Xylitol (Birch Sugar): Lurks in sugar-free treats and gum; causes rapid blood sugar crashes and acute liver damage! 📉🚨
🍇 Raisins: Even a tiny amount can lead to sudden, severe kidney damage in pets! 🛑🐾
🫧 Chewing Gum: High xylitol risk plus a serious intestinal blockage hazard if swallowed! 🩺📦
🍭 Hard Candies: Slippery choking hazards that can easily obstruct the digestive tract! ⚠️😵
🌽 Candy Corn: Heavy sugar overload triggers painful stomach upset, vomiting, and pancreatitis! 🤢⚡

"Pit Bull" isn't a single breed—it's an umbrella term for several bully breeds, including American Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and American Staffordshire Terriers! 📜 Like all dogs, individual temperament is shaped by training, environment, and love—not breed labels! 🧠💖
