It’s a new year! Which means books are open to start filling in lessons!!

If you or anyone you know wants to start doing lessons whether it’s you wanting to learn how to ride, want/need refreshers on your seat and placement, wanna learn new disciplines, ect, just contact me on here, or my main page Mia Thiem for prices and we can set up dates and times to start learning. Lessons will start in March once weather starts getting warmer and ground softens up. I can also travel if you want lessons done on your personal horse too and don’t have the option to haul and want lessons sooner!

This year my goal is to start getting lessons and training on a roll and have a successful year and meet and help new people do something they have always wanted to do!

Dakota update!

We finally got a canter that involves no bucking and crow hops anymore. We know how to follow our nose better when asked to turn and the best for all leg cues/pressure!!!! Yes I said that right. We have leg cues/pressure down pretty good!! We can now pivot off his hind quarters both directions. If he keeps this up and we start working on collection I will start patterning him on barrels and all the fun stuff!!

Sweetest horse ever(besides my mare)
He’s getting a lot better with turning and is finally catching the hint of leg pressure.
After I got done working, I rode him around the property and he was the bestest boy ever🥰❤️

Hello everyone!!

With it being a new year, I have decided that I am gonna start doing lessons now!

I’m only charging $25 an hour

I will teach 7 years old and up(will possibly go younger if need be)

Waivers will need to be signed at the first lesson for safety reasons, and helmets are required, if you don’t have one I have one for you or your young one(s).

Everyone is more than welcome to share this around to help people who wants to learn about these wonderful animals!!

After a week or two of being off of training due to uneven hooves and finally being trimmed I got on and working him again last night. He was very spunky due to not having a saddle on him for a bit but we got it out and got on and he was amazing. Was listening very well to me and we even cantered!! I haven’t canter him yet and last night while riding and working I thought we would try and pick it up to a canter and he picked up to a canter when asked and I couldn’t be any happier. He’s following his nose so much better now too and I’m very happy. Tomorrow I will be taking him to his first horse show just to get use to all the commotion that happens at them.

This horse I swear… blows me away so much!
We are getting a little better at following his nose when turning but when I first started working him under that saddle, I wanted to make sure he know what whoa meant for a stop and to stop on his hind quarters and not his front quarters. I truly wasn’t expecting him to learn how to drop his butt somewhat at a stop till I had my boyfriend record me stopping him and holy cow did he figure out how to start dropping that butt fast!! And his back up. Not the best but better than what it was before. He is just the bestest boy ever🥰

Did some more work today with this handsome man. Today was learning how to follow his nose. And what I mean by that is when I turn his nose where I want him to go I want him to follow it and go that way instead of following where his eyes want to go. It’s a working process but we will get there. but I look forward to ride and work him everyday. Did I ever mention how laid back he is also. This horse doesn’t care for much as you can see I can jump on his back with him not caring in the world i have no tack on him. This is a bond of trust shown right here and I love it. Love him to death❤️

Got on Dakota today after getting some rain on Monday and my being busy all day yesterday. He sure was spunky today while lungeing him but we got it out. We worked on stopping some more and backing up. And so far he’s got it down really good. We did also work on picking up a trot when asked. And he’s turning alot more when asked to too. I’m proud of this horse. I have been proud of this horse since day one of knowing him. I’m excited for the future for him

Meet Dakota 🤩

I’ve known Dakota since he was a little baby as he is my grandparents horse.

I’ve started working Dakota shortly after he turned 2. I was working on ground work and ground manners with him. I did stop working him a bit due to my depression and anxiety getting out of hand, but after a couple years of on and off working and getting my anxiety and depression under control big time I started working him again. Dakota is now 6 years old and I have taught him how to do ground work, learned ground manners, to load and back up outta Trailer, to stand tied to be brushed. I exposed him to a saddle when he was younger and let me tell you he took everything like a champ. I did want to break him out but I let my grandparents decide on that and they sent him to our trainer who officially broke him out. Dakota just came back home last week and I was so impatient to get on him and start working him and teach him everything I know. Yesterday aka Sunday I finally was able to get on him after letting him settle in back at home for a couple days. Now he is GREEN broke so I have a lot of work to do but so far I slowly got him taugh how to stop under the saddle and backing up. so no further a do come with me on the journey to finish this horse out and get him somewhere in life and also keep your hats on as he will blow them off your head for how smart he actually is🤯
