**🎓 8 weeks. One goal. And he crushed it.**

For everyone who's been with us for a while and knows Randy and Cheyenne — you may have noticed noticed Randy missing around the facility lately, THIS is why. 👀

He just wrapped up 8 weeks at K-9 training school in Georgia on July 31st, pouring everything he had into leveling up his skills as a trainer. Weeks away from home, away from Cheyenne, away from their own little pack he loves — all so he could come back even better for our clients and their dogs.

This is a HUGE milestone. A massive accomplishment. One that we know well. K-9 training school takes sacrifice from the handler and the family back at home too. And we could not be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice it took to get here. 🙌 This past week was his first week back with us.

I think it is safe to say that the entire team missed you.

Welcome back, Randy — we can't wait to see what you've learned. Congratulations doesn't even cover it. 🐾

Tonight we were driving back from dinner with friends in Idaho Falls when we got word that a fire had broken out just a few miles from our building. We’d already watched the storm rolling in as we left dinner — thunder, lightning, the whole thing — so we turned around and came straight back to check on the dogs in our care. We wanted to make sure that all the dog’s were doing ok, with all of the thunder and crazy lightening.

We needed to make sure they didn’t need anything and they were all safe, because when you’re responsible for other people’s dogs, ‘just in case’ isn’t optional. The trust people place in us to keep their dogs happy and safe is something we will never take lightly.

By the time we got here, the fire down the road was about already out. But since we were here anyway, we figured we’d knock out a few things… aaand then the power went out. So here we are, sitting in the dark, lit only by the world’s brightest exit sign flood lights. 😂 I guess all those things we were going to finish up tonight can wait until early tomorrow morning.

Fire down the road is out, dog’s are safely tucked in and settled. Mission accomplished.

Just another night in the life of running a 24/7 dog training and boarding facility.

We wouldn’t trade it — even on the craziest days. 🐾

This past weekend, some of our training team hit the road for the Randy Hare Detection Seminar hosted by Harrisville Working Dogs — and wow, what an incredible couple of days. 🐾

This one was extra special because it was Savannah's very first professional dog training seminar with us, and what a first one to have! She sure gets to do a lot of cool things for an 11 year old, and everyone was so kind and supportive of her.

We got to learn from Randy and Lauren, and their heart and passion for this work and the people that they teach was contagious. Their knowledge was next-level, and we're already so grateful for the time we got to spend learning alongside them. We genuinely hope to work with them again soon.

Here's the thing — we will never stop learning. Ever. It is so important to us. There is always something for us to learn. We stay open to new methods, new tools, and new perspectives, because every bit of it gets poured right back into the training we give the dogs and clients who trust us with their training needs.

Investing in continued education isn't optional for us — it's one of the best ways we know to help our trainers grow and reach their own goals, so that our clients always get the best version of our team.

A very big thank you to Randy, Lauren and everyone at Harrisville Working Dogs for making this seminar possible. It was a great weekend.

🐾🔥 How Hot Is Too Hot For Your Dog's Paws? 🔥🐾

It has been HOT out here lately. And while we're all reaching for cold drinks and finding shade — our dogs are walking on pavement that can hit exceptionally high temps on a summer afternoon. 🔥🐾

Burned paw pads are one of the most common and most preventable summer injuries that can happen — and most pet owners don't even realize it happened until their dog starts limping.

The rule is simple: if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
Press your palm flat on the pavement before every walk. If you pull it away — they shouldn't be walking on it.

Morning walks. Evening walks. Grassy routes. Paw balm. These are small things that make a massive difference. 🤍

The day before the Fourth of July, our team was in full go-mode — kennel suites packed, kennel techs providing amazing care, the phones ringing like crazy and boarding at max capacity. 🐾

And then our friends Bryce & Taylor walked through the door with smoked pork and homemade barbecue sauce for our team. 🍖🔥

Did we mention they were just married? And spending their honeymoon week together.

They could have spent that time doing anything. Somehow they chose to take the time to smoke a pork roast, make barbecue sauce from scratch, and bring it to our team the day before the Fourth of July.

Bryce & Taylor had recently trusted us with their dog training needs, and quickly have become amazing friends. Friends that somehow — fresh off their wedding week — ended up taking care of us.

They are truly amazing people and we appreciate their friendship and generosity so much!

That is the kind of community we get to be part of every single day, and we don't take it for granted for one second.
