Severe Weather Warning

01/26/2026

If the forecasts are correct, we are in for some brutally cold temperatures! Please make sure your pets are warm, hydrated, and properly cared for.
(And we do not need to hear from every husky owner on this post about how your dog loves the cold 🤣🤣. Obviously, tolerable temperatures are different for each dog, depending on coat, fat stores, age, health, etc. But 40 below wind chill is too cold for pretty much every domestic pet -- bring them in!)

Not everyone enjoys New Year’s Eve festivities! Celebratory fireworks and other loud noises are frightening for pets. Here’s your pet safety checklist:

• Microchips – Ensure your pet’s microchip registration is up-to-date.
• ID Tags - Make sure your pet is wearing an ID tag with your current contact info.
• Fence Fortification - Check backyard fences and gates to be sure they are secure.
• Keep them Inside – The safest place for your pet when fireworks are happening is indoors.

Keep your pets safe this New Year’s Eve! 🐕🐈🐾
