Coconut officially finished her Good Dog Program today and headed home

Zuzu is backšŸ¾Sheā€™s joining us for another 3 weeks, and this time weā€™re taking her training to the next level.
Weā€™ll be layering in e-collar training, increasing distractions, and continuing to build reliability on the foundation she already has.

A little outing to Tractor Supply with Coconut. She did great! She was a little nervous with some of the new noises, but worked through it and was able to make a few laps around the store while staying focused and comfortable.

Shasta is back for the 2nd stay of her Raising Fido Program.

This stay will build on the foundation obedience established during her first stay, with a focus on increasing reliability, working through distractions, and strengthening her overall consistency.Weā€™ll continue developing her obedience, leash work, recall, place, and engagement while gradually increasing the level of difficulty and expectations.

The goal is to take the skills she already has and make them more dependable in a variety of environments and situations.

Ms. Coconut is coming along nicely in her training. She knows the verbal cues for place, down, sit, and come, with down definitely being her go-to right now. Weā€™re working on making sure sheā€™s clear and consistent with each command rather than defaulting to down.

Her loose leash walking is coming along really well, and her crate training is going nicely too.

Coconut still has quite a bit of separation anxiety, and thatā€™s something that will take more time than just 3 weeks to make significant changes with. The good thing is that her parents are prepared for that and are ready to put in the work with her once sheā€™s home.
