Phoenix was one of my very first clients—and one of my first true friends here in Richmond.
I moved here after getting married while my husband started PA school, not knowing a single person. My walks with Phoenix quickly became something I looked forward to every week.
He stole my heart with his big, soulful eyes and his gentle, loving nature. Every visit, he would run from his bed to greet me and prance out, ready to find his girls. If he knew I was coming, he’d wait by the window, squealing until I arrived.
He had such a special bond with Honey and Maple—especially Maple, who he loved to chase and play with. She would greet him with kisses the moment she hopped out of the car.
For 5 years, we walked, adventured, and shared so many special moments together. He became not only part of my routine, but part of my life. A gentle giant, a loyal friend, and loved by so many—clients and pups alike.
Five years was not nearly enough time.
I am so honored and grateful to have loved you, Phoenix.
You will forever hold a piece of my heart.
