🐾 It Takes a Village 🐾
The past several weeks have been a whirlwind for Ava’s Animals. We've welcomed more animals into our care than ever, prepared for and attended MooFest, navigated countless rescue needs, and most recently spent days searching for two of our dogs who were on the run. Through all of it, there have been people who stepped up in ways that can never truly be measured.
Today, I want to recognize a few of the incredible people who have not only been amazing volunteers, but who have also been an unwavering source of support for me, my family, and the animals we love.
❤️ Cassidy
Cassidy has a heart that knows no limits. No task is too big, too messy, or too last-minute. She is always willing to jump in, get her hands dirty, and do whatever needs to be done for the animals. Whether it's helping at events, caring for animals, or somehow finding herself holding a baby cow in the backseat of a car, she shows up with a smile and a willingness to help. Her dedication, loyalty, and love for both the animals and our family never go unnoticed.
❤️ Annie
Annie is one of those rare people whose knowledge is matched only by her kindness. She is an incredible resource when it comes to animal welfare, rescue work, and nonprofit organizations, and she never hesitates to share her expertise. Beyond that, she is an exceptional caretaker, especially when it comes to neonate kittens who need around-the-clock care. When challenges arise, Annie is often one of the first people offering advice, solutions, and support. Her wisdom, compassion, and steady presence have been invaluable. And she even lets me bring her kittens at 10 pm.. I'm on my way!
❤️ Cris
Cris is the person you can always count on. As a foster, she pours her heart into every animal she takes in, especially the spicy kitties who need a little extra patience and understanding. When things became overwhelming, she stepped up without hesitation and helped ensure MooFest was a success despite everything else happening behind the scenes. Cris is dependable, hardworking, compassionate, and the kind of person who makes everything better simply by showing up.
❤️ A Special Thank You to My Parents
There are not enough words to express how grateful I am for my parents. They have supported Ava’s Animals from the beginning and continue to go above and beyond for the animals, for Ava, and for me. Whether it's helping with daily rescue needs, dropping everything when an emergency arises, or simply being there when we need them most, they do it all with love and without seeking recognition. Their support is the foundation that helps make so much of this possible.
❤️ And To Our Incredible Community... Thank You.
To every person who has followed our journey, shared a post, sent a message of encouragement, donated supplies, purchased items from our Amazon Wish List, contributed financially, volunteered their time, or simply cheered us on from the sidelines—thank you.
Many of you started as strangers and have become part of the Ava's Animals family. During the difficult days, your kind words have lifted us up. During emergencies, you've rallied behind us. When the animals have needed food, medical care, bedding, or supplies, you've stepped up without hesitation. Every package that arrives on our doorstep, every donation, every share, every comment, and every message reminds us that we are not doing this alone.
To each of you: thank you.
You are more than supporters. You are part of our village. And we are endlessly grateful for every single one of you. ❤️🐾
