Beyond Hills Hobby Farm Small 1st generation hobby farm. We're just wanting a family focused, low-stress, joy filled way of life. We substantially downsized our things and home sq.

Follow along while I learn about gardening, animal raising, food preservation, and all the hiccups along the way. I'm Tina and along with my husband and our two boys, we are finding our path together. A few years ago we left our suburban home in southern Michigan. footage. We craved simplicity and sustainability. A slow-paced and quiet place to raise our children. Our dream is slowly coming true as we create our small farm in the middle of nowhere.

We hatched a bunch of layers in the spring.
Lavender Orpingtons, Creme legbars, BCM, and OE 2nd Gen. We hatched a lot of roosters. We ended up with 6 hens and kept 2 roosters.
RubyRoo is our BCM roo. The 2nd roo is a OE, Skip who had a leg injury.
Turn-up, a kitten that showed up one day, has joined their flock it seems. He sleeps with them and a couple hens even sits with him in their nest boxes.
Their eggs are beautiful too.

BH Mother Gothel (NFS). She's one of the trio I held onto. I just bred her to BH Hamish, a chocolate buck.

Mother Gothel has lines going back to my original buck and doe. She is a representation of the work I've put in over the past years.

I've officially sold my silver fox stock.
After about 5 years of raising them, I couldn't fully part with 100%. I ended up holding a trio and a retired 4 year old brood doe. After that much work into building my lines, it was tough to let it all go. With the trio, I will occasionally have litters, but anything that may be offered will be rare.
I will post introductions soon of the trio.

Here is Mouse, my blue 4 year old retired doe. She has a forever home here living her best life safe in a hutch at night, but free ranging in my garden during the day.

Cute little 3 day old Serama chicks.

I finally got my seeds started. A bit late, I’ll admit, but you know what they say, ā€œbetter late than never!ā€.

A great opportunity to show Silver Fox in Ohio. Check out details below.
Also, GLSF is an amazing club where I found a community compassionate about silver fox. I learned so much and truly found some wonderful people.
