Chico (formerly Bruno) needs our help again💔 his skin issue has gotten worse since his antifungal course was completed. As soon as we stopped the flagyl, his skin got angry & he had some alopecia again. We headed over to All American Vet Hospital because it was a Sunday and easier for us to make. Angelos & Dr Jeffries treated us very well and restarted the antifungals (we have to watch those liver enzymes 🤦🏻‍♀️) and recommend a skin biopsy to analyze the dermis and epidermis for a differential diagnosis. Foster mom has cut out chicken (as an omission test) and now wasting only beef & vegetables cooked at home (no processed dog food) + NutriCal vitamin paste. Ongoing skin issues eat up the budget so fast and we’re asking for some help. We’ve spent a total of almost $4000 trying to get Chico adoptable and it feels like a deep hole trying to figure this out. Thank you for your understand, and help for him. We appreciate ANYTHING you can spare 🙏

👉🏼Did you know we have a few long timers in our care that we work with daily to try and get them adoptable? Dog training day is EVERY DAY in our foster care.

🐕 was rescued over a year ago from Kern County Animal Services he came in on a 75 dog hoarding situation. We rescued 6 of them that day, and all were in various stages of feral. 5 have since been adopted but Randy remains as he was the most severe case of the stranger dangers.

🐕He recently attended a boot camp with Humble K9 and he’s made strides! He gets closer and closer to foster momma every day, and when visitors come in, they give him treats and take him for short strolls as instructed.

🐕You can see Randy remains very unsure but this is a HUGE milestone from having to corner him and using “bite gloves” just to leash him and bathe him.

🌟Want to help dogs like Randy continue their journey? DONATE to help us continue to help them. They stay in our care and we NEVER transfer a dog out to anywhere else. We do the work, and we need your help to continue.
