Look At Me Exercise!!

Skye my current board and train, definitely struggles with handler engagement so this is always a fun and EASY activity to practice at home to encourage more eye contact. Let me know if you try this out at home!

Meet Blue, Carlos & Skyler!

Blue is an 8-year-old Pit Bull, Carlos is a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees mix, and Skyler is a 3-year-old Pit Bull mix.

Blue and Carlos are currently enrolled in our Behavior Modification Program. Blue has been struggling with resource guarding, particularly around Mom, who is currently pregnant, as well as guarding behaviors toward Carlos. He also struggles with reactivity toward larger dogs while out on walks.

We’re working through these behaviors using our “I Come in Peace” resource guarding protocol, counterconditioning and systematic desensitization, while also helping Blue build better associations and coping skills around his triggers.

Carlos is learning how to navigate the household alongside Blue while we put better management and structure in place to keep everyone safe and successful.

Skyler is here for obedience and manners! We’re focusing on building better impulse control, engagement, and overall household manners.

Three dogs, three different personalities, and they are all making huge strides! Yay pups!!!

Skye the pitbull terrier is here to stay with us for the next two weeks for a board and train!

Skye started off in private training and has made great strides. Her mom just wants a bit more structure for her to really lay the foundation for obedience and manners. She struggles with the classic pulling on the leash, and letting commands fall short during her teenage stage.

We absolutely love this girl and we can’t wait to work with her for the next two weeks!

It’s national dog day!!! this past weekend, my dog Freya, the heart of all of this, Won queen at Furball!! I am so proud of her and how she performed on stage. But regardless, I am happy to have her as my furry companion! 🥰

Rudy the 5 month old Boston Terrier is currently enrolled in our private training program for basic obedience and manners.

This spunky little guy struggles with jumping on guests and poor impulse control and manners around thresholds.

Rudy has made a immense improvement over the past couple months and his mom’s handling skills have greatly improved as well! We are so excited of the progress they have made and can’t wait to see Rudy grow into a young adult☺️

Lilith the 11 month old German Shepherd is currently enrolled in our behavior modification program for reactivity to dogs and her prey drive to her cat siblings in home. Lilith is also struggling with some ongoing stomach issues that are currently being addressed by a veterinarian.

We are incorporating systematic desensitization and counter conditioning to address her reactivity. Along with LAT protocol and to address both reactivity and prey drive. We are also currently fostering engagement during training to help with the chase before prey drive kicks in.

This sweet girl is super smart and we are excited to see progress over the next couple months.

Freddy, Scooby’s brother is here to stay with us for a 2 week board and train to work through some manners and start of teenage troubles.

This boy already has a solid obedience foundation props to his mom for being on top of it!!

We are so excited to have him here!

Boots the 3 year old German Shepherd mix working through anxiety and resource guarding in our behavior modification program.

Boots has been guarding certain areas and valuables from her cat siblings and owners.
Alongside anxiety medication prescribed by her veterinarian, we’ve implemented counterconditioning and desensitization, muzzle conditioning for safe interactions around the cats, and the “I Come in Peace” protocol to help change her response to others approaching valued spaces and items.

We’ve also discussed weight management and making sure her physical and mental needs are being met because behavior modification is about looking at the whole dog.

Boots has made great strides in training so far in the past couple months and we couldn’t be prouder!
