Since my thoroughbred isn’t going to be ready to event and show this year I decided to start training my little Lea to jump and refine her dressage skills. I must say, she’s the most adorable little jumper pony ever, and she takes it very seriously as you can see! I never imagined I’d be taking my western ranchy cowhorse 3 day eventing, but this is what training the ultimate all around horse looks like! Lea wasn’t bred for anything special other than her APHA color and mostly just all around western horses in her background. But having a good horse that can do it all without hesitation is worth more to me than a horse that only does one thing well.🧡

Our first sorting practice at Careywood Creek Ranch of the season! We had so much fun and mom is loving her new cutting/cowhorse Reba, and little Lea is excited to chase those cows again. Can’t wait for all the practices, clinics, and jackpots coming up!

Valiant Equine has a rare boarder spot opening to add one more horse. This is a place for the dedicated horse person that wants to learn and take lessons and be in an encouraging and quiet environment. Small professional training barn located conveniently in Rathdrum ID. It’s a hidden horsey paradise with 4 arenas including a 60x90 indoor. Cross country course, trails on and off property and a full trail obstacle course. Stalls with runs or large paddock with shelters available. If you want to learn dressage, jumping, ranch riding or trail course and working equitation this is the place for you! Full care board only with a minimum lesson package offered to the right person with option to add more training available. We have a fun and fantastic group of ladies that do all different disciplines and we go to schooling shows, trail rides and cattle sorting practices every month. The Liberty Grove Farm May Dressage Schooling show is in the books! We couldn’t have asked for a better first show of the year. It was such a beautiful warm day and the show was so well put together. We had some major nerves and feelings of being unprepared but we managed to take home some ribbons and capture some beautiful moments and memories. Emily Sanborn and Sedona had their first ever dressage debut riding the intro C test and took home an awesome score and 3rd place. Myself and a client horse Tikka had our first level 3 test debut and took home two 3rd place’s and some jackpot money! I’m so proud of our hard work and can’t wait for the next one! Thank you Liberty Grove Farm for putting on the most fun and beautiful show. 💜

Ok here she finally is! One month ago I drove to South Dakota to pick up my new paint cowhorse filly. She’s in that gangly 3yo stage, so I waited to get her vet care done and start fattening her up a little before I took photos. Getting her started under saddle now and hopefully riding soon! She’s a dream in the making and going to be a 🐮 killer with a pedigree like that! I have named her Lainey 😍
