YOU— THE COMMUNITY — ARE THE REAL MVP’s
When Pawsitive Strides & Paw-House Calls LLC and Western Hills Humane Socety partnered together to raise money for these dogs in the Alzada explosion, we didn’t expect this— at least I didn’t.
We set the goal at $6,000 because we knew the extensive medical needs had a big price to them, and that worried the humane society — and rightfully so. Having experience in Shelter Medicine, it is definitely a real concern when you have multiple dogs needing medical attention soon and you have no funds to do it with. You often ask yourself… “What is the point if I can’t do anything for them?” I can honestly say, throughout this journey with Western Hills Humane Socety, I haven’t had that thought. That’s because of YOU.
Our goal was $6,000.. We EXCEEDED IT. As of 7/12 at 9:24am, we are at $7,375.00 raised for the Spearfish 17 K9’s!!! Without you, it would not have been possible for Uni to have his leg repaired, neuters and spays to be done — they all need them (more coming in next week), Valkyrie wouldn’t have the chance to have her face treated, Phoenix and his head tilt, none of this would be possible without the help of the community. You showed up when asked, supported when you didn’t have to, and cared about an animal you don’t even know. That takes a special kind of human. Even if you did not donate and you only shared — THANK YOU. You helped us spread the word and awareness of these dogs and their harsh reality they lived through. You helped just as much!!
