*Reminder to call your vet- please read!
🔆🐾 Good Morning FRPCVT Family!! Before anything else, we want to say thank you. Every application represents someone opening their heart and home to a cat in need of a second chance at life , and we never take that for granted.
A quick but important reminder for anyone submitting an adoption application:
❗️Please call your veterinarian and give them permission to speak with us.❗️
As a two-person volunteer rescue, we often have dozens of applications to review while balancing jobs, homes and families on top of the rescue responsibilities which includes:
➕Foster and support for foster families
➕Medical care
➕Transportation
➕Vet appointments
➕Rescues
➕Trapping (this can take hours upon hours for days)
➕Shopping
➕Cleaning and sanitizing
➕Adoptions & paperwork and record keeping
- this isn’t even including sleepless nights with at-risk neonates and bottle babies and mama cats giving birth.
And yes, this is what we signed up for, but it's still a lot 😅
Unfortunately, we just simply do not have the time to track down applicants and remind them to call their vet, then reach back out to the vet.
To keep the process moving fairly, 👉🏻completed applications will be prioritized for adoption before incomplete ones 👈🏻 If we reach out to your vet and you haven’t given permission to speak to outside agencies, we need to move on to applicants whose files are ready to be processed.
We are not asking for detailed medical records. We simply contact your vet to confirm that you provide routine care and would be a responsible adopter.
We truly appreciate every application we receive and want to help great cats find great homes. Taking a minute to call your vet helps us do that as quickly as possible. ❤️😻🐾
