This event is hosted by the Ramsey Environmental Commission with support from the governing body, Ramsey Rescue, Junior Woman’s Club, St. Paul’s Parish, and the Bergen County Clean Communities Program.

Tick season is officially here in New Jersey and that means it's time to level up your preventative game!

Here are four simple things you can do right now to keep your dog or cat safe.

✅ Talk to your vet about tick preventatives. There are great options for every pet, and your vet knows what works best for your area and your pet.

✅ Keep a lint roller by the door and roll your pet's coat after every walk, especially if you've been near wooded or grassy areas. Ticks hitch a ride before they even attach.

✅ Do a full body check regularly. Run your fingers through your pet's fur and pay extra attention to the ears, paws, belly, and around the collar.

✅ Grab a tick key. If you do find a tick, a tick key removes it safely and completely.

A little prevention goes a long way. Your pet is counting on you and we're always here to help keep them safe on every walk and visit.
