Have you ever considered fostering but not sure it’s for you? 🤔

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. 🙃

But what is amazing is if you’re able to open your home & heart to a special dog or cat then it frees up room for others to be saved. 🥰

If you’d like to foster we’d love to have you! We will provide whatever is needed for that dog or cat (kennel, bowls, food, toys PLUS the rescue covers their medical care) & you just provide a safe, loving environment while we search for their furever homes.

We have 2 puppies that we have had since birth. Pepi & Violet & while we do love em, they need to be split up into separate foster homes so they can thrive on their own & also tbh stop picking on one another (ya know how siblings can be 🙄).

We also have 3 cats we would love to step up & help but cannot without fosters!

We have 2 brother cats (Siamese mix of some sort). One has shorter hair & the other has a longer coat. Both so pretty!! Look at the cool colors! We don’t know anything about them but that they were strays. They are 6 months-1 year old.

We also have a little girl kitty. A beautiful gray & white cat. She’s sweet & loving & approximately 4 months old.

These cats need foster homes. If we can find suitable foster homes (& no that doesn’t mean all at the same house- they can be split up) then we can take them under Meraki. If we cannot find foster homes then we cannot help but only to a certain point.

🐾 Hi friends! It’s me again, Opal!

As promised, I’m back to tell you more of my story. If you were paying attention last week, we left off with me and my puppies being trapped and rescued. So, let’s pick up there.

At first, I’m not going to lie, it was pretty scary. I didn’t know what was happening or what to expect. Suddenly, I was in a new place with people around every day. I wasn’t sure what to think about all of that. But then I started noticing a few things. We had a safe space to stay every day, protection from the weather, and best of all, food just magically appeared! I didn’t have to go out searching for it anymore.

As the days went by, my babies kept growing bigger and bigger. Before I knew it, we all had to go to this thing called the vet. Let me tell you, I was not a fan of that experience. But I was told it would prevent me from having any more babies, and honestly? I was pretty thankful for that. Being a mama is hard work, and a girl deserves a break! 😂

But that’s where we’re going to leave things for today! You’ll have to tune in next week to find out what happened next for me and my puppies!

BUT WAIT! I have a little update.

Over the weekend, I put on my brave girl pants and attended an adoption event! 🎉 I met lots of people, soaked up some attention (under protest of course), and even had a few people interested in me. Unfortunately, nothing panned out, so here I am, still waiting for my forever family. 🥺

Which brings me to my very important announcement…Help end my writing career before it really takes off.

I’m a sweet, loyal girl who has already been through so much. Now, I’m ready for the next chapter of my life, one where I get to be someone’s beloved family member instead of the star of a weekly Facebook series.

Let’s make next week’s post about how I finally found my forever home! 🏡

🐾 IT’S ME AGAIN… OPAL

Today, I’m taking you all the way back to my origin story. Before the Meraki adoption events, before the cute photos, and before I became the OG Meraki girl.

For those who don’t know, I’m kind of a legend around here. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Every good story has a beginning, and mine starts out on the streets.

Life wasn’t exactly a walk in the park. I was out there trying to survive, doing what I had to do to get by. Along the way, I had multiple litters of puppies. Being a mama is hard enough, but imagine trying to raise your babies out there with no safe place to call home. I did the best I could with what I had, but life on the streets is unpredictable. Every day was about survival, and I never knew what tomorrow would bring.

Then, one day, everything changed. After all that time out there, I was finally rescued. Now, you might be thinking, “Opal, girl, you can’t just leave us hanging like that!” oh, but I absolutely can. 😂

Because what happened after I was captured? And how did my story help lead to the rescue you know today?

Well, friends, you’ll have to tune in NEXT WEEK to find out! 👀

Trust me, you won’t want to miss the next chapter of my story. ❤️
