Some days are very hard and today is one of them. A longtime client messaged me today to let me know she was going to say goodbye to her kitty this afternoon. His health hasn’t been the best and he’s been in decline for a little bit, but it worsened quickly.

She has been so dedicated to his care and when she traveled, I had specific instructions on what she did and I was expected to do exactly as she did. And I did. I made sure there was no difference between her care and mine. She was so grateful and was able to enjoy some time away this summer and not worry (too much).

Hennessy, you were one of my favorites. You always forgave me when I gave you pills and wiped your eyes in the morning. You tolerated my ear wipes and putting medicine in them. We always snuggled after that. It won’t be the same when I come take care of your brother and sister in a couple of weeks. But you are no longer sick. I’ll miss you always 🌈💔

Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, a day we honor those pets who have passed on and are waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge. This one is especially hard because my family lost our beloved cat Murphy last week and we are already missing him terribly.

I always imagine that when I get to the Bridge to be reunited with all my pets, they will come running toward me all happy and playful. If you know me, I’ve had (and still do) have LOTS of pets. What a stampede of love that will be! 🌈

Today is a super special day…it’s Cassie’s 4th birthday!!!!

She wouldn’t let me put her birthday crown on her today, so I’m borrowing the picture her mom sent me this morning.

Last Chance Ranch is holding a pop up pet food pantry. Take advantage if you need help feeding your pets. If you are ok, then share this along. LCR does some very good things around here and some of my clients are LCR alumni.

🐾🏡 Are you a pet owner in need of assistance, maybe having trouble providing food for your furry family members? Come visit LCR Saturday, August 15th from 10am - 11am (or as supplies last).
We will have limited pet food available to help struggling pet owners in our community including dogs, cats, and small critter food available.

We do ask that pet owners complete an informational survey to help us to grow our services for our community and help keep pets in their homes for future events!
