Thank you to everyone that signed up for the State Shooting Sports Parking this weekend! If you are working at the Pueblo West location, you will check in with the front gate and they will direct you where to go. If you are working at the State Fairgrounds (formerly was Colorado City) you will go in through Gate 6, and then follow around to the main road, and enter between the end of the Stone Horse Stalls/end of the East Roping Arena and big white tent. You will direct parking from there, as the archery shoot will be behind the Grandstands. If anyone has questions, please call me! 719-225-9961 (Ammie)

Congratulations to all of our youth that showed at the 2026 Pueblo County Fair! We have our last fundraiser of the year, the Statewide Shooting Sports Parking. There is a good chance the Archery Competition is going to be moved from Colorado City - the new location will be announced at the beginning of this week, but we will still need the same coverage. Please comment below and we will get this updated on the schedule. Also, if your child is earning a County Fair Award, they must have completed a fundraiser for Horse Council to get their award. Thank you all for your support! - Please note the change to the Archery Range. The location is being moved to the State Fairgrounds, behind the Grandstands area. We will update on where you will be helping park - we think it will be around the nig white Pepsi/Giadone tent.

We are looking forward to our County Fair Horse Show!! Beginning this Friday through Sunday at the Diamond J Arena. We will have our Family BBQ Potluck on Saturday Night, everyone is invited!! Horse Council will provide the Hamburgers, Hotdogs, condiments and dinnerware. Please bring a dish to share, chairs and your favorite drinks. The Fair Board will be selling t-shirts for the County Fair this year.

They are $15 each for sizes youth XS through Adult XL and $16 each for adult XXL and XXL.

The design is below. The back will list our sponsors.

Most of the money from the sale will go to cover the cost of the shirts. Any excess will go back to supporting the fair. We encourage you and your families to buy and wear them to help spread the word about the fair, 4-H, FFA AND to encourage future sponsorships!

Please fill out and return the google form by THIS FRIDAY 7/3.

They will be available starting Tuesday July 21st for pick up at the Fair Grounds from the Event Center greenroom. You will need to pay cash or check when you pick them up. Checks payable to Pueblo County Extension Program Fund. If you would like to pay via card, co-ordinate with the Extension Office.

***You are committing to any pre-orders and we cannot guarantee we will have many extras on hand at the fair, so get your orders in now.***

As you prepare for County Fair . . .
It’s the little things that get noticed by the judge, both the good and bad things!
How can they place you if they can’t see your number??
Showmanship = Number in the middle of your back with safety pins on both sides. Not covered by your hair
Riding classes = Number on the left side of your saddle pad, BOTH sides of you have 2 OR on your back not covered by your hair
