For us, the 4th of July isn't just about fireworks.
It's an opportunity to practice leadership.
Every year, we hear:
"My dog is terrified of fireworks."
But here's the truth...
Fireworks don't create fear—they expose it.
The goal isn't to eliminate every loud noise your dog will ever hear. The goal is to teach them how to navigate stress with confidence, trust, and guidance.
A calm, prepared leader can make all the difference.
✨ Before the celebrations begin:
• Exercise both body and mind.
• Use meals for enrichment with stuffed kongs, snuffle or lick mats.
• Prepare a quiet, comfortable safe space.
• Keep your dog's ID tags and microchip information up to date.
• Have white noise, enrichment, and calming tools ready if your dog benefits from them.
• Most importantly—stay calm yourself.
Your dog doesn't need you to panic with them.
They need someone worth following.
