“He just has a lot of energy.”

Ma’am… your dog has been pacing, screaming, parkouring off the furniture, and staring out the window like he thinks the ACO is coming for him. 😂

That’s not just an exercise problem.

Your dog needs to learn how to CHILL 👏 OUT.

Here’s the thing: a dog can be excited without being emotionally regulated.

When excitement turns into frantic barking, jumping, pacing, mouthing, zooming, or an inability to settle—even after the excitement is over—we’re looking at hyper-arousal.

And sometimes, without realizing it, we reinforce it.

Leash comes out → chaos.
Food comes out → chaos.
Someone walks in → chaos.

Instead of always trying to tire your dog out, teach them how to come back down.

🐾 Reward calm, neutral behavior
🐾 Practice Place & intentional stillness
🐾 Teach pauses before doors, meals, toys & greetings
🐾 Stop making every exciting moment MORE exciting
🐾 Give them opportunities to experience the world without reacting to everything

Exercise matters. Enrichment matters.

But sometimes your dog doesn’t need another three-mile run.

They need an off switch. 👏

Calm isn’t just something a dog is.

Calm is something we teach. 🐾💜

Swipe ➡️ Let’s talk hyper-arousal.
