The phrase “so you play with dogs every day” annoys me so bad. I allow that little phrase to diminish everything I do and put it in a tiny little box. I’ve allowed people to do that to me too as a stay at home mom…”you are just a stay at home mom”. No one sees all the work that goes into “just being something”. So if you are working your ass off by “just doing something”, keep it up. I see you, I bet it’s important.

Most people think dog training is all about the dog.

It’s not.

It’s about you too.

Be predictable.

Stop overthinking.

Keep sessions to 3–5 minutes.

And quit being inconsistent.

That’s it.

When you show up the same way every day, your dog finally knows what to expect — and everything gets easier.
