As we close out the final day of our campaign, we wanted to introduce you to a dog who could really use some local love of his own.
Valen is a 3-year-old American Eskimo mix who has spent too much of this year bouncing from place to place through no fault of his own. First surrendered because his family couldn't safely contain his adventurous spirit, then returned from an adoptive home that ultimately wasn't the right fit, Valen is once again waiting for someone willing to give him a chance.
The thing shelter staff consistently say about Valen? He loves people.
He's outgoing, social, and has been wonderful with staff and volunteers. What he needs now is a confident foster home where he can decompress, get the exercise he enjoys, and show everyone who he really is outside of a shelter kennel.
Because of his history, we're looking for a foster home without young children and ideally a quieter environment where he can settle in and build trust. The right home could make all the difference for this handsome guy.
