🐾 FOSTER NEEDED: Tiny, Terrified, and Waiting for Someone Patient (and a Name!) 🤍

This scruffy little poodle mix 🐩 spent a long stretch surviving on his own before the trapping pros at Lost K9 finally got him to safety. He’s out of danger now, but nobody has told his nervous system that yet. He’s a young adult guy who doesn’t even have a name, and right now his whole world feels huge, loud, and very confusing. 😢

When our team met him, he was balled up in his kennel, trembling from nose to tail. Even so, this sweet boy let gentle hands stroke him without a single growl. 🥺 He took the treats we offered too, though instead of eating them he arranged them into a careful little stockpile, just in case. 🦴 Smart survivor move, little man.

One look at his photo tells you the rest: wild bedhead fur sticking up in every direction, and a pair of big, worried dark eyes peeking out from underneath. 👀 Under all that grime there’s supposed to be a fluffy white pup, but his time outdoors has dyed him a very convincing shade of gray. 🛁 Bath day will come, but it isn’t step one. 🐾 FOSTER NEEDED: Meet Bocephus, a Gentle Senior Soul Who Just Lost His Person 💔

Bocephus, known as Bo to everyone who loves him 🐶, is an 8-year-old small Pitty mix who spent every day of his life beside one person. She brought him home as a puppy, and when she passed away without warning, Bo’s whole world disappeared overnight. With no family in Minnesota able to take him in, this loyal boy is now waiting at an impound, frightened and trying to understand where his person went. 🥺

Just look at that face 📸. Soft brown eyes, a little white stripe down his forehead, a white bib with matching socks, and one ear that can’t quite decide whether to stand up or flop over. His heart is every bit as sweet as he looks. Our volunteer showed up expecting a timid, shut-down pup, and Bo strolled right over, settled into her lap, and adopted her on the spot 💛. The impound is a different story. The constant clanging and chaos leave him trembling, and he never did a single thing to deserve losing his home, his routine, and his favorite human all at once. We’re grateful that a vet tech who has known Bo and his family for years was able to fill us in on the details below 🙏.

These two have spent a decade perfecting the slow blink, the strategic sprawl, and the “oh, was this your spot?” look.

Their person is stepping up to care for her aging father and may need to move into his home. His resident kitty, who belonged to his late wife, simply doesn’t share space with other cats 💔. Nobody did anything wrong here, but it means these sweet seniors need a soft, safe place to land while they wait for their next chapter. 🏡
