The latest update on the Pocket Fire:
The evacuation status for residents of Oak Creek Canyon (Zones 14 and 15) will change from “GO to SET” at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. This modification applies to residents only, and proof of residency will be required for entry into the area. State Route 89A and Oak Creek Canyon remain closed for public use and for through traffic.

While conditions have improved to allow this adjustment, residents will continue to see smoke and fire activity for the foreseeable future. Zones 14 and 15 will remain in SET status, meaning residents should stay prepared to evacuate again if fire behavior or weather conditions change.

Again, pet sheltering services are provided by Coconino County resources.

Yavapai County Jeep Posse is still providing road block services.

Animal Disaster Services was not activated for the Pocket Fire as resources within Coconino County are being utilized for pet shelter services. ADS hopes to meet with Sedona Emergency Management at a later date to determine how we can support communities bordering both Yavapai and Coconino Counties.
