Hello everyone! We are less than a week out from the fall clinic in Gunnison!
Every year, we do a raffle as a fundraiser for the organization. If you can, please bring some cool stuff to donate!
A box of shoes, cool handmade/ hand forged items, tools, ammo, your least favorite helper, etc. We'll raffle everything off on day 2!

An itinerary for both days will be posted early this week!

Don't forget to let us know if you're coming, so we can have enough lunch available for everyone!

Trippy horse? Toes too long? Watch this video!

This topic may be a bit controversial, but I think sometimes we as farriers are asked to take ownership over some things that may not necessarily be 100% within our control. Is there a time and place to add or subtract to toe length, based on an individual horse's needs or a rider's skill level? Every day. But as a general rule, here are some things that affect fluffy's ability to locomote, and some reasons why your farrier may be reluctant to "take more toe" right off the bat, especially without some more context.
