This is how Camo likes to chew on his toys - on your lap. He'll run around with one for a while and play fetch but he loves being close to people. If you sit on the floor, he'll happily climb in your lap and chew on his toy. He's such a great dog. When he first meets people at the shelter, he is full of energy, but once he gets over his initial excitement, his true personality comes out. Come meet Camo at Portsmouth Humane Society.

I just can't say enough about how far Camo has progressed in the last few months. One reason is that he has his very own room at the shelter because the general adoption area makes him anxious and amped up. Until recently, he would not sit still more than a few quick seconds. Now he will chill in the grass for several minutes at a time and lean on you to get chin rubs and back scratches. This is HUGE! Camo makes new friends everywhere he goes. All he needs is a chance to shine. Camo is 3 years old and weighs about 58 pounds. (Portsmouth Humane Society, 4022 Seaboard Ct., Portsmouth VA)

Camo has been giving all his efforts to be okay with just chillin.' That is simple for some dogs, but Camo used to be a ball of fire 100% of the time. He still has lots of play and energy (believe me!), but the difference is, he can also relax and have quiet time. It's a huge thing. So proud of this guy. Camo is a goofy, fun-loving, happy boy who loves people. He is working on building his confidence when he sees other dogs. For now, he would be best as an only dog. Hi Camo here showing off my snow pictures. I had fun playing in the snow this past weekend. I didn't what to think about it at first but once I got in the play yard with a toy, I had a blast.

I am still searching for my forever home. I would do great with an active family. I like to run, play, and go on long walks. I would be awesome at agility training.

I am a 3 year old, male, American Staffordshire Terrier mix that weighs 58 lbs. I am a lot of fun. Come adopt me at Portsmouth Humane Society.

Hope everyone stays safe and warm! I had a great time playing in the snow today! Two of my PHS buds got adopted today - Lopez and Abner! Very happy for them and hoping they live the good life forever.

The dogs had so much fun in the snow!! If you are looking for a dog you can to take to the snowy mountains or on hikes come on up to Portsmouth Humane Society and look at our dynamic doggies!!

Playing fetch with a tennis ball is one of my favorite things to do!! I'll even bring it right back to you. If you are sitting on the floor, I will gladly lay on you while playing with my toy. I'm an energetic boy that needs exercise/play time. After play time, I like to chill out for some calm pet time. I'm a sweet boy that would be great for someone who is active or likes to play. Check out this box I got to play with on Christmas day. It was big enough for me to fit completely inside of it. I had tons of fun pulling all the wrapping paper off of it.

Camo is still hanging out at Portsmouth Humane Society waiting for his FOREVER family. He is a handsome, playful and energetic pup who loves life and loves people. He is getting better around dogs, but he would be best as an only dog for now. Camo is in a room all to himself because the general area makes him anxious. He is doing so much better. Hi my name is Camo!! I'm patiently waiting for my forever family to come and take me home. I'm 3 years old and about 60 pounds. I love to go out on adventures and I love to spend time with people. Come visit me and my friends tomorrow from 12-5pm!!
