Today marks another Ru milestone as she graduated from her Skills 1 class at Wonder Puppy in Portland! While we are still working to make a few skills more reliable, she did great! It helps that she is the chillest dog I have ever had. 😉

Huge day for Ru! 🎉 She won Best in Show in the AKC Beginner Puppy ring yesterday at the Longview-Kelso Kennel Club show in Tenino, under judge Lynda Saranchuk!

I couldn't be prouder of this girl. She is SO outgoing and just lights up any time she gets to meet new people and new dogs when we're out and about, and she is building her confidence in the show ring as well. What a joy to watch her come into her own!

Here's to many more wonderful moments with this ray of sunshine. 🌊🐾☀️

Introducing Celtic Crown’s Cerulean Sea, call name “Ru” (nee Coral), who will be staying right here at Celtic Crown Kennels and we couldn’t be happier!

I fell in love with this registered name when I decided on the litter theme of marine/sea at the time the puppies were born. However, I struggled to find a good call name. The obvious choice “Ceri” is lovely but would activate my iPhone and I didn’t want that! Finally, I landed on Ru (“roo”) which is short, fun, unique (I don’t know many others!), and fits her well. It has the added benefit of one of the meanings in Japanese being “flowing water or current” which also fits the litter theme. And finally, it is a nod to Ruthi Nicholson who so lovingly helped me raise this litter.

Ru is a joy and we are excited to see where we can take her and where she will take us! ❤️🐾🐶

Little miss Current left the nest today with Madison and Cameron, a fun and active couple who will keep Curry running (literally as they are both runners!) and playing in Seattle and on Whidbey Island.

Madi also works at a vet hospital and Curry will get to go to work with her when she is big enough, so she will get great medical care and excellent socialization!

They are still finalizing her name so we will reveal it once they make it official!

Love you Spicy Curry! It’s going to be very quiet around here without you! 🎉🐾❤️

PS We had decided that Curry is a face “boopper” rather than face licker, as you can see in these adorable pics!
