Photography for modern families May lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband Matt and their three children.

She enjoyed a career as a TV news producer before making the decision to stay at home with her kids and pursue photography full time. Five years later, May books over 100 photo sessions a year and takes great pride in capturing important moments in her clients’ lives. MGP is all about simplicity: There are no prints and no packages. Your best photos will be edited and included in your final order six to eight weeks following your session (weddings take eight to ten weeks). You will receive an email with a password and a download pin to access your digital album at www.maygunsulphotography.pixieset.com. You may share the album with family, friends and on social media (you will need to include the password for others to view your album). If you need a photo for a birth announcement, a save-the-date or a holiday card, you can request up to five edited options before you receive your final order. The average session produces between 25 and 150 photos, while weddings typically produce between 150 and 400 photos. Unedited photos are not available for purchase or otherwise.

We have a strict rule in our house that there’s no Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving - But I’m going to have to break it because CHRISTMAS TREE FARM MINIS ARE BACK!

My wonderful friends at Beaverton Holiday U-Cut Tree Farm have opened their rows & rows of trees to us on Saturday, November 14th. These 20 minute sessions are rain or shine (I will be armed with a bushel of white umbrellas) and will be quick turnaround galleries so you can order your holiday cards before Thanksgiving.

The past three weeks have been a blur 😅 A beautiful blur of your smiling faces!

I could joke or lament about how busy fall is for photographers, but we all know the drill by now. And I, shockingly, have a couple of weekends set aside for family fun before one last big push before the holidays.

If you’re still hoping to schedule, now is the time - Or wait until Friday when I’ll have a special announcement I’ve been teasing for far too long (as a former TV news writer, I’m even annoyed with myself for how deep this tease is).

My heart is overflowing with gratitude for my friends at Balsall Creek for hosting my wonderful clients (new and old) and me for two amazing weekends!

We lucked out on weather both days, but could definitely feel the shift from summer to fall in-between.

It was a dream collaboration and I surely hope we can bring it back next year 🥂
