Purring Hearts Kitten Rescue Meliorism We are a Wisconsin non-profit 501c3 foster based kitten rescue. We care for neonate orphan kittens (birth to 8 weeks old) and feral moms with kittens.

We also provide occasional short term Family Preservation foster care for families in crisis.

We received an emergency call this afternoon about some kittens in distress. The queen and four kittens were living under a deck in Saukville. The homeowner heard the kittens crying but thought things were ok. She learned today that the mama queen died last Saturday after being hit by a car and the babies had not been fed since their mama passed.

We raced over to pick up the kittens, expecting the worse. They were definitely stressed and screaming for help but all were mobile and running up to every person nearby.

The kittens are just starting to eat wet food but still needing kmr. They are now safe, warm, and resting with full tummies.

This litter will be the Saukville street litter

Busy day over here. We’ve been working with James Panka to rescue a mom and her kittens who have been living around a business. The employees have done well with socializing mom and kittens but this cycle of kittens needs stopping. The kittens have eye infections so we are already treating these.
