🦃 Thanksgiving Pet Safety Reminder! 🐾
While we’re enjoying the feast, remember a few quick tips to keep our pets safe:

• No turkey bones, fatty skin, onions, grapes, chocolate, or anything with xylitol
• Treats that are okay: small bits of plain turkey, plain sweet potato, pumpkin, apples, or carrots
• Keep an eye on the front door with guests coming in and out
• Take out trash right away and keep bags sealed

🔥This is why delayed spaying/neutering is in our contract that all families agree to and sign (legally binding contract drawn up by our attorney). Many vets don’t keep up with research and change their practices accordingly, they just keep doing what they’ve always done and for many they push early spay/neuter to prevent litters as more important than long term joint health in breeds at high risk for developing joint problems like goldens. DOG OWNERS: PLEASE don't walk your dogs in the heat of the day. Stick to sunrise or closer to sunset.

We are entering our longest/hottest stretch of summer with highs near 100° for the next couple of weeks. Walking on the sidewalk is a no-no with concrete temps up to 130° under the sun. Walking on asphalt is borderline criminal with puppy paws burning quickly on 140°+ temps.

If you can't put your bare foot on the ground without feeling pain, your pups can't walk on it.
