He was hiding in the cinderblocks around our turtle pin filled with wood shavings for insulation.

Speckled kings - with an albino whitesided! - and Black ratsnakes (White-sided and normals) starting to heatch out. Not the first laid, but the first to pip this year.

30 years ago THIS year, we produced our first clutch of native snakes with the intent to sell: speckled kings. 30 years later, and specks were the first clutch to hatch for us this year. ;)

I'm not counting leopard geckos or bearded dragons. ;)

Here are a couple clutches that I was really excited to see get produced:

1. A clutch of 25 fertile eggs from a Lava Bantam het cinder and aner (poss het amel) male bred to a Lava het cinder (poss het amel/aner and a few other things) female.

2. A good clutch of 8 fertile eggs from a pair of speckled kingsnakes that are both het for albino and white sided/

3. A small clutch of 10 fertile eggs from a super salmon Tessera (extreme pink) to a "classic" with one of the red enhancing genes (and het for amel/aner/hypo) that produces some REALLY nice pink snows when bred to regular snows.
