Aight, check it— Allyn here. That's Allyn with a Y. Don’t forget the Y! I’m a seven-month-old double-registered Australian Shepherd. Ahem, did you catch what I threw down there? I am ROYALTY! Purebred chaos with a fluffy coat and a whole lotta attitude. We live out here in the hood… well, the country hood. Dirt roads, loud trucks, and that side-by-side my HuMom just rolled up with. Smells like adventure and bad decisions.
She be like, “C’mon boys, let’s go for a ride!” and my brother Roscoe—this fool—don’t even hesitate. Big brave dummy just hops his waggin' backside right up in that thing like he own the streets. Tail stub a-waggin’, tongue hangin’, actin’ like he the king of the block.
Me? Nah, bruh. I know the struggle. Vehicles be my nemesis. Every time I get in one, my belly starts doin’ the wave. Next thing you know, I’m revisiting last night’s kibble. Ain’t nobody got time for that. So I plant my paws firm on the dirt and give my HuMom the side-eye.
“Nah, Mommy. I’m good. Y’all go ahead. I’ll hold down the yard. Protect the crib. You know how we do.”
But then Roscoe look back at me from the seat like, “What you scared for, little Y? Come on, dog.” And Mommy start callin’ my name all sweet. “Allyn… Allyn with a Y… c’mon baby dog…”
Man, that get me spun up! I start barkin’. I tried for the full-on "scare the neighborhood chickens" stud bark, the kind that comes from deep in your soul. Sad to report that didn't turn out as planned. But I stuck to the rest of the plan...I circled that side-by-side, barkin’ at the tires, barkin’ at Roscoe’s smug face, barkin’ at the whole situation.
Mommy laughin', rollin' eyes at me. Roscoe just sittin' there looking all tough. Bruh! Don't judge me. I am royalty and I'm built differently than the rest of ya'll!
