I have searched this property high and low and can’t find where the singing Is coming from! “Where oh where have all the fosters gone. Where oh where can they be? Mom said there was lots of folks who wanted to foster us, where oh where are they?” I cannot find who is singing this.

As I walk the property, let me first thank Halo for picking up my slack for Friday’s story. She did a wonderful job!

I also want to thank everyone who sent treats and things for our pantry. We appreciate you all so much! Your gifts of treats made us so happy and we were so happy that Rosie allowed Mom to open the boxes, and not her!

The song is getting louder as I head towards Miss Secretary’s office. She is not here and her office is locked. I walk around back….Auggie! Auggie what is up with you? Thor, Mom said that she had fosters for us, but all those folks that said they wanted to foster at her last event never filled out applications. Mom needs fosters really bad. She is getting 8 dogs soon, and they run from big to small, and they all need fosters. Then there are those of us who have been waiting and waiting for either a foster or an adopter. I need an Immediate foster and Mom can’t find one for me. Auggie, I know what you mean. I don’t know why we can’t get folks to foster. It doesn’t cost them a cent. Everything is supplied for us. Food, prevention, meds if needed, vet visits. It is all paid for by Mom. All the foster needs to do is love us. I guess people just don’t realize how important it is for us to transition to a home environment. How it helps us grow and learn how to be a part of a real family. That way when we are adopted, we will be totally ready!

Auggie, it is a holiday week-end so maybe more people will read my post and just maybe we can get you a foster and perhaps a few more for Mom. After all, we have dogs of all sizes and abilities. Tell you what we can do, we can put this post out, and hopefully we will get 5 fosters to sign up. One of them will be for you. Folks can go to our page and read all about you and all the others that need fosters or adopters. We will keep our paws crossed.

HALO’S HAPPY FRIDAY REPORT!

Who wants to talk about sweets? We do!

Graham Cracker (FKA Bailey) and Toffee (FKA Julesbar) are still searching for homes. Their parent passed away leaving them, multiple other dogs and 16 cats behind. Here’s the details on these sweets:

💜Graham Cracker
8 year old tri-colored Chihuahua-Corgi mix! She has the size of a Chi and the ears of the Corgi! She has the energy of a younger pup but she’s not hyper. She would LOVE someone to cuddle with in a place to call home. She does not have to be around other dogs but does get along with them.  the fencing yard would be great to run around in because she’s used to it, but she walks perfect on the leash!

4 year old tan Chihuahua-Corgi mix!
He doesn’t have many corgi features except for the style and color of the fur. He is fine with other dogs, but he is very dominant so he would probably do best as a single pet or with just one other pet that is not dominant. He has regular dog energy and loves to check the perimeter to make sure that the family is safe. He was absolutely love somebody to cuddle up next to you and a place to call him! He’s used to roaming in a yard with the fence, but he walks great on leash!

🐾 WREX PUPDATE! 🐾❤️

Wrex is at Harmony Vet Care today for his four-week post-op X-rays, and OH MY GOODNESS… this boy’s leg is almost completely healed! It looks SO good!

His foster family has been doing an absolutely incredible job keeping this boy calm, keeping him in his crate, giving him his medications, and most importantly, giving him all the hugs, kisses and love in the world.

Healing is honestly one of the hardest parts of having a major orthopedic surgery. It’s boring and it’s lengthy.
And it’s heartbreaking watching a dog who wants to run, play and be a dog stuck resting in a crate.

And that’s when we humans start feeling sorry for them. We want to give them more freedom. We want to let them walk a little more, play a little more, or have just a little more fun.

But this is the part where we have to be strong for them. Because one wrong jump, one zoomie, one moment of too much freedom can undo everything we have worked so hard to accomplish. We always tell our fosters: “It’s just this one period of time so that the rest of their life can be more complete.”

We need a foster for Ben asap! This boy was found with a red tote that had random items and dead kitten in it. ❤️‍🩹😭

He’s very good! He has a ball that he carries everywhere. When he eats he puts the ball in his bowl and eats them takes the ball with him. When you walk him on the leash he grabs his ball and has it in his mouth while he walks with you to go potty. What a sweet, loving dog! 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹🐾

We are in need for Foster placement for every single one of these dogs as soon as possible! Eight of these dogs are losing their home in a week. They have had a loving home with property to roam and their mom is very sick and will be leaving the state for a permanent change. Some are seniors!!! They have nowhere to go, and we do not want them to end up in the shelter, or be euthanized. The other dogs in the video are urgent need as their temporary fosters can only keep them a few days. Please reach out ASAP if you can Foster. We would love to give you a call and discuss the dogs that we have so that we can pair the correct Dog with the correct Foster.
