Today I noticed that ranch my greenbottle blue tarantula was out and about. I just thought it was interesting. It’s not a typical behavior, so I wanted to share it.

This is my greenbottle blue tarantula, affectionately called, Ranch.

I have only kept two species of tarantulas, but this one might be the best “beginner“ species of tarantula! Here are my top 5 reasons:

1. Always hungry (don’t over feed)
2. Makes beautiful silk bedrooms
3. Likes to wander around
4. Great species to photograph
5. It’s freakin blue and orange!
