Happy New Moon in Virgo!

As a mutable Earth sign, Virgo rules the last month of Summer, that changeable season where Fall starts creeping in.

Virgo is also associated with the 6th House - the realm of employment, self-improvement, physical health and daily routines. It's a fitting sign for this time of year, when many children, parents and teachers are resuming the structured school routine.

The symbol of Virgo is The Virgin. The classical meaning of "virgin" had nothing to do with sexual experience; it described a person who belonged only to themself. Far from being a barrier to partnership, I think this kind of self-sovreignty is an essential element of healthy relationships between equals.
