In Loving Memory

Yesterday, we said goodbye to a very special soul.

He was more than our beloved chocolate Lab. He was a source of pure joy, unconditional love, and happiness every single day. He had a spirit that was impossible not to love—full of energy, playfulness, and an enthusiasm for life that made everyone around him smile.

He was loving and gentle, with the kind of heart that made you feel safe simply being near him. He loved deeply, and he gave that love freely.

He especially loved the water. Swimming and chasing his favorite balls in the pool were among his greatest joys. Watching him race after a ball, splash through the water, and come back ready to do it all over again was one of those simple pleasures that we will treasure forever. He reminded us how wonderful it is to live completely in the moment and find happiness in the things you love.

And then there was his brother.

They came into this world together as litter mates and shared a bond that was truly special. They grew up together, played together, and were companions in the truest sense of the word. Their lives were intertwined from the very beginning, and seeing them together was a beautiful reminder of the depth of a dog's capacity for love and loyalty.

He had a way of making ordinary days extraordinary. His presence brought laughter, warmth, excitement, and comfort into our home. Somehow, just having him there made life better.

We wish we could have had more time. We wish yesterday had never come. The house feels different without him, and the silence where his joyful presence used to be is heartbreaking.

But as painful as this loss is, we are so grateful.

Grateful that he chose us.
Grateful for every game of fetch, every swim, every happy greeting, every quiet moment, and every day we were lucky enough to spend with him.
Grateful for the love he gave us so freely.
And grateful that we got to know a dog who was truly one of a kind.

We loved him immensely, and we will miss him terribly.

He will always be a part of our family, a part of our hearts, and a part of so many wonderful memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.

Run free, sweet boy.

Find the biggest pool, chase every ball, and know that you were deeply, completely, and forever loved.

Until we meet again.

Thank you

Leo completely hooked us with his big ears, long body, and unforgettable personality. Whether he was howling because he was left alone, napping the day away, or barking at everyone from the car window, he brought endless joy to our lives. Leo was a true blessing. He is deeply loved, and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

In Loving Memory of Russell

Ten years ago, the day after we moved into our new home, an unexpected visitor showed up. Russell, our sweet pit bull mix, chose us that day, and from that moment on, he became family. We didn’t find him—he found us.

Russell was more than just a dog. He was a loyal companion, a protector, and a constant source of love. Through every season of life, he was there with a wagging tail, a kind heart, and unwavering devotion. His presence brought comfort, joy, and countless memories that we will cherish forever.

For ten wonderful years, Russell filled our home with unconditional love and reminded us every day what true loyalty looks like. He had a way of making even the hardest days a little brighter, simply by being by our side.

Though our hearts are heavy and our home feels quieter without him, we are so grateful for every moment we shared. Russell chose us all those years ago, and we will always feel honored that he did.

Run free, sweet boy. You will always be loved, never forgotten, and forever missed. Thank you for ten incredible years.

Corbin was so curious. He loved hunting the mole that lives in our backyard, loved going for walks, and loved to literally stop to smell the flowers! He was a gentle giant. He never barked at strangers, he never met someone he didn’t like. When he wanted something, he was a master at the puppy dog eyes and would use them to get what he wants from mom and dad. We got to have him in our family for a little over a year. He helped get me through my dad’s passing. He was my Mamas Boy! We love you Corbin for ever and always!

Louie the Adventure Dog
Louie came into my life at Christmastime in 2015. A Manchester Terrier rescue, he was looking for a home, and I had no idea that day I was meeting my best friend.
From the very beginning, Louie and I were inseparable. For the next eleven years, he was by my side through every part of life and every adventure. We spent our days exploring beaches, hiking mountain trails, camping under the stars, kayaking on lakes and rivers, and mountain biking through the desert and forests. Wherever I went, Louie was ready to go too.
But as much as Louie loved adventure, what made him truly special was who he was.
Louie was the friendliest dog you could ever meet. He never met a stranger and was happiest making friends, whether they walked on two legs or four. He loved rolling in the grass, running free, and wrestling with other dogs. His joy was contagious, and he made people smile wherever he went.
When the day's adventures were over, Louie transformed into the ultimate cuddle buddy. He was as snuggly as he was adventurous, always happy to curl up beside me and remind me that the best moments in life are often the quiet ones.
He was incredibly smart—sometimes maybe too smart. His favorite toys were treat puzzles and stuffed animals, and he loved showing off all the tricks he knew whenever treats were involved. In fact, if you had a treat to bargain with, Louie would happily demonstrate his entire repertoire. He was always thinking, always communicating, and somehow always finding ways to tell me exactly what he wanted. He definitely kept me busy, and looking back now, I wouldn't have had it any other way.
The years went by far too quickly, but what a gift they were. Louie wasn't just my dog. He was my adventure partner, my constant companion, my source of comfort and laughter, and one of the greatest friendships of my life.
The mountains, beaches, campsites, and trails were beautiful, but what made them unforgettable was sharing them with Louie. Every memory is better because he was there.
Though my heart is broken having to say goodbye, I am grateful for every day, every trip, every laugh, every cuddle, and every mile we traveled together.
Thank you, Louie, for choosing me. Thank you for your loyalty, your endless enthusiasm, your intelligence, your affection, and your friendship. You made me a better man.
Run free, my sweet adventure dog. May there always be grassy fields to play in, friends to wrestle with, stuffed animals to carry, and treats waiting for every trick.
You were the best buddy anyone could ever ask for.
You will always be loved, always be missed, and always be with me.
Louie My best friend and adventure dog forever. 🐾❤️
Go get em' boy!!!

Thank you for your care with my little guy!

Memorial for Han Solo

Today we said goodbye to our sweet Solo boy, and our hearts feel a little emptier without him here. He was more than a pet — he was a steady, gentle presence who made our home feel warm and full. Solo had this calm, wise way about him, mixed with the perfect amount of goofiness that always made us smile.

Whether he was lounging on the couch, sitting shoulder‑to‑shoulder with his older brother, Kenobi, or wearing glasses or a hat like he was in on the joke, he brought joy into every corner of our lives. He loved quietly but deeply, just by being near us, watching over us, and sharing everyday moments that became memories we will hold forever.

Thank you, Han Solo, for your love, your loyalty, and the comfort you gave so effortlessly. You will always be our good boy, and you will always be part of our hearts. We love you Solo. 💛🐾

Thelma, “the lady”, crossed the Rainbow Bridge June 30th, 2026, just a few months shy of her 16th birthday. She belonged first to my late mother, but came to live with us after one too many run-ins with my stepfather’s chickens! The rest was history, as she’d spend the next 14 years with us.

She was our little family’s first dog, though she often acted more like a cat. Thelma only gave us her attention when she deemed it appropriate, like the queen that she was. She never enjoyed toys or chasing balls; instead she spent her days lounging inside (tongue usually poking out so cutely as she snoozed) or enjoying a nice sun bath outdoors. She did have a fun side, though, and would often be caught “belly dancing” on the carpet, back wiggling on the ground, paws in the air, belly on full display. She could also be spicy, always barking at other dogs on walks or even when spotting them from the car, though her tail was almost always wagging while she did it. She was definitely more bark than bite!

Our home doesn’t feel quite the same now that her favorite spots are empty, and not reaching for the treat jar several times a day has been hard to get used to. Our Thelma girl wove her way into our hearts, and it’s there she’ll stay for us.

As she peacefully crossed, I told her to go find our other dog, her brother Finn, and my mom, and I take comfort in believing she did just that.

Rest easy Thelma Jean, Thelms, Ms. Lady! We miss you and love you forever. -Lindsey, with Dave, Alicia, and Hayden
