Dawgz, Tailz & Wagz (DTW) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to providing resources for dogs in need and provide support to our local animal rescue community. Through a network of caring foster homes, volunteer advocates, veterinarians and trainers, our goal is to ensure that no dog in Maricopa County is left behind by an overburdened system. 🤔 WAIT… WHY HASN’T ANYONE ADOPTED KHALEESI?

We’ve reviewed the facts. We’ve checked them twice. We remain confused. 😂

Let’s examine the evidence:
Khaleesi is only 1 year old. She’s beautiful. She’s smart. She’s dog friendly. She’s house trained AND crate trained. She’s great on leash. She has excellent recall.

At this point, we’d like to know what exactly everyone is waiting for. 🤨 And somehow her résumé isn’t even the best part.

Khaleesi has that magical young-dog combination of “YES, let’s go do something!” and “Sure, I can hang out too.” She’s playful without needing the party to continue 24/7, loves being with her people, and is smart and eager to please.

Have another dog? Perfect. Khaleesi loves canine friends.
No other dog? Also perfect. She is fully prepared to accept your undivided attention.

She’s also been around cats and generally doesn’t show much interest in them, although we’d still recommend slow introductions with any new pets.

So, to recap: young ✔️ smart ✔️ trained ✔️ dog friendly ✔️ playful ✔️ easygoing ✔️ ridiculously cute ✔️

We have officially run out of reasons for Khaleesi to still be waiting. Seriously. Someone explain it to us.

Every home has that one little thing that makes it feel complete. In your case, it might just be Socks. ❤️

Socks is a sweet little Pug mix with a big personality, a happy spirit, and plenty of love to give. She’s playful, social, affectionate, and happiest when she gets to be part of the family fun.

She’s dog friendly and enjoys having canine friends around, but her people are pretty special to her too. Whether she’s playing, tagging along with whatever you’re doing, or settling in beside you for some love, Socks makes a pretty great little sidekick.

She has just enough silliness to keep life entertaining, but underneath all that personality is a genuinely sweet girl who simply wants a family to call her own.

A cozy spot. People to love. Someone who wants her around for all the ordinary everyday moments.

At DAWGZ, TAILZ & WAGZ, we need our community to rally around us in a big way! Right now, our rescue is caring for several dogs with serious medical needs. From complex surgeries to specialized vet care, these pups are fighting hard to heal, and their medical bills are stacking up fast.

To help cover these lifesaving costs, we are launching an official 50/50 Raffle - meaning half of the total pot goes directly to funding vet care for our medical dogs, and the other half goes straight into the winner's pocket!💰🐶

🖤 MALLORY IS READY TO BE SOMEONE’S DOG.

Not just a foster dog. Not just another face waiting for an application. Someone’s dog.

The one whose photo is on your phone wallpaper. Whose toys somehow end up in every room. Who has her spot on the couch and absolutely knows it. The one you automatically include when you’re making plans because, well… Mallory is part of the family now. ❤️

And she is so ready for that life.

Mallory is a smart, athletic, playful girl who genuinely loves having other dogs around. She currently lives with canine friends in her foster home, and having buddies to run, wrestle and play with is one of her favorite things. If your current dog has been asking for a best friend, Mallory would very much like to submit her application. 👩🏼‍🐰‍👩🏽

She’s crate trained, good on leash and an incredibly quick learner. She has a busy brain and loves figuring things out, and that intelligence paired with her athletic side makes her such a fun dog for someone who wants a companion they can actually do things with.

Mallory definitely has energy to burn, but that’s only one piece of who she is. She’s affectionate, social and wants to be included. She wants dog friends to play with, people to love, adventures to go on - and a home to come back to when the fun is over.

📱 THE CELL PHONE BANDIT: DAY 1

(Shhh… keep it down! Everyone in the foster house is officially asleep, and I just swiped the rescue cell phone off the nightstand with my front paw. They think I’m in here dreaming, but nope - I’ve got big plans.)

Hey everyone, Bobby here! 👋

I’m taking matters into my own giant paws because, frankly, I’m on a mission to find my soul person and I don't have time to waste. I made it off the shelter's euthanasia list, got my eye surgeries done (I had entropion in both eyes, but I'm healed up and looking handsome as ever!), and now I’m ready for my real life to start.

Since I'm going to be stealth-posting from this phone whenever the humans drop off to sleep, let me lay down my ground rules so you know what you’re signing up for:

🤩 Rule #1: Personal space does not exist. If you sit on the couch, at least one part of my body must be physically touching you at all times. A paw, a head, my entire 5-year-old American Bulldog mix frame... I don't care, as long as we're connected!

🤩 Rule #2: I am a solo act. Why have a house full of pets when you could just have ONE Bobby? I don't need a pack; I just need YOU. I’m taking up 100% of the spotlight, the love, and the couch space.

🤩 Rule #3: I am a professional Velcro dog. I’m sweet, silly, ridiculous, and I play hard, but my main goal in life is being your absolute soul dog.
I’m counting down the days until I get to leave this foster setup and head to my actual forever home.

HALEY + ROMA ARE GROWING UP… BUT STILL WAITING FOR THEIR PEOPLE!

These girls are now 4 months old, growing like weeds, and learning more about the world every day. They have plenty in common: both LOVE other dogs (especially the big dogs!), adore the pool, are working on basic commands, and are making great progress with potty training. In fact, both girls have started going to the door when they need to go outside! 👏

But their little personalities are definitely their own:

💗 HALEY is our curious, busy girl who likes a minute to figure out new things. She can be shy at first with new people or experiences, but give her a little time and she warms right up! Her foster has been introducing her to more of the world, and Haley recently walked to the truck, explored the park with her tail up, and was perfectly content hanging out while her foster chatted with a neighbor. That confidence is growing right along with her! She’s also ball-obsessed, loves playing with the big dogs, and apparently believes water bowls are for splashing first and drinking second. 😂

💜 ROMA tends to take new adventures right in stride. She’s sweet, social, ridiculously soft, and still our resident pool cannonball champion. She loves playing with other dogs, takes snack time very seriously, and has even appointed herself the household landscaper by pulling dandelions out of the lawn. 🌱😂

Both girls are playful, smart, dog-loving puppies who are doing wonderfully in foster care. Now they just need families of their own to keep showing them how fun the world can be. ❤️

Why have a house full of pets when you could have one Bobby? 😂

This handsome 5-year-old American Bulldog mix has decided he’s not looking for roommates. He’s looking for his people, his yard, and his very own forever home where he can happily be the one and only four-legged member of the family.

And after everything Bobby has been through, we think he’s earned the spotlight. ❤️ He made it off the euthanasia list and into a foster home, where he’s finally gotten the chance to relax and show everyone who he really is.

And who is Bobby? A silly, snuggly, ridiculously loving guy who always needs to be touching his person. Sitting next to you isn’t quite enough… Bobby wants a paw, a head, or at least some part of himself physically attached to you at all times. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just want to live in your house; he wants to be your soul dog.

Bobby recently had surgery on both eye to correct entropion and is healing beautifully. He’s neutered, safe in foster care, and ready for the best part of his story to begin.

Bobby doesn’t need a pack. He just needs someone to choose him. With his goofy personality, giant snuggles, and absolute devotion to his person, this boy has all the makings of someone’s soul dog. 💙

About me: I’m Sadie, a Poodle mix looking for someone who appreciates a mature woman with her priorities in order.

I enjoy sunny afternoons, leisurely walks, comfortable furniture, and spending quality time with my person. Other dogs? They’re fine. But between us… I’m really here to meet YOU. 👀

I’m house trained, affectionate, and well past the stage of needing to figure out how this whole “being a dog” thing works.

I do have Addison’s Disease, which is managed with daily medication and periodic injections. It’s simply part of my routine.

RUBY: THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS 💚

Can’t decide if you want an adventure buddy or a professional couch companion? Ruby would like to inform you that you do not have to choose.

Ruby is a sweet, gentle girl who has mastered the art of balance. When the weather is nice, she loves getting outside, playing with her dog friends, and finding any opportunity to splash around in water. Once the fun is over? She’s perfectly happy settling in and relaxing by your side.

Ruby can be a little shy with new people and likes to take a minute to observe before deciding you’re part of her circle. Give her that time, though, and you’ll get to see the affectionate girl underneath. 💗

Other dogs are definitely Ruby’s thing.. she absolutely loves them and would thrive with a canine buddy. She’s also crate trained and has done well around children, chickens, and even goats. Basically, Ruby has a surprisingly impressive social résumé.

Ruby is currently being treated for Valley Fever, but it is well managed and she’s doing great.

She doesn’t need life to be exciting 24/7. Give her some playtime, some water, a dog friend, and a comfy place to land at the end of the day, and Ruby is one happy girl.
