Lucy came into her familyâs life at three years old, rescued and ready to be loved. She had the sweetest, softest soulâshy for just a heartbeat when meeting someone new, and then, without fail, that little pause would melt into a flop, and there sheâd be, belly up, begging for rubs like it was the best idea sheâd ever had.
Her bark was this tiny, high-pitched thing that she used on everyone and everythingâneighbors, squirrels, falling leaves, you name it, but oh, the moment a Frisbee appeared, the whole world faded away. That disc was her one true love. Sheâd chase it until her legs wobbled, until her tongue hung low, until her people had to gently take it away because she simply didnât know how to stop, she wouldâve run herself dizzy just to feel it fly one more time.
She was a Collie through and through, with a coat so plush and silky you could lose your fingers in it, especially after her spa days when sheâd come home looking like a cloud.
So rest now, sweet, beautiful girl. You ran hard, you loved harder, and you will never be forgotten.
