POV: You ordered 60 pounds of duck hearts for your small-batch pet treat business. 🦆❤️

First, there’s the 20-pound bag.

Then you remember there are another 40 pounds sitting in the bus tub.

Then you look at the cutting board and realize this has officially become a crime scene.

At the end you open the dehydrator...

**18 trays.**

Each tray holds roughly 70–90 hearts.

So somewhere in that dehydrator are **well over 1,000 individual duck hearts.**

This is what “small batch” looks like at Bow-Nut Bites. 😂

No fancy factory. No conveyor belt. Just me, a knife, a dehydrator, and enough duck hearts to make anyone walking into the kitchen question what exactly is going on in this crime scene.

Fortunately, the only thing being murdered here is my Saturday night.

The end result is one of our most popular single-ingredient treats: Duck Hearts. 🐾❤️

🎃 WE’RE SORRY. IT’S PUMPKIN SPICE SEASON. 🎃

We promised ourselves we wouldn’t become those people.

We weren’t going to start talking about fall in August. We weren’t going to put pumpkin spice in everything. We were going to exercise some restraint.

And then September happened.

So... here we are. 😂

Pup-kin Spice Biscuits are BACK for the fall! 🐾🍂

Made with a simple lineup of ingredients:

🌾 Oat Flour – A wholesome source of carbohydrates and fiber.
🎃 Pumpkin Puree – Naturally provides fiber and is packed with beneficial nutrients.
🥛 0% Fat Greek Yogurt – Adds protein and calcium without added fat.
🥚 Eggs – A great source of protein and essential nutrients.
🫚 Ginger – Adds a little natural flavor and contains antioxidants.
✨ Cinnamon – A flavorful source of antioxidants in a tiny amount appropriate for these treats.

No artificial flavors. No unnecessary extras. Just real ingredients baked into a crunchy little fall treat.

Still can't quite believe I did this. 😂📺

This morning I got the opportunity to represent Bow-Nut Bites on PHL17 Morning News to help promote the upcoming Fishtown Fair and the awesome local vendors taking part.

I'll be honest, being on camera is VERY outside my comfort zone, but when an opportunity comes along to talk about something I've worked so hard to build, I'm not going to say no. So I showed up, tried not to completely forget how words work, and somehow made it through live television. 😂

We're really excited to be part of the Fishtown Fair this Sunday. The organizer's events are always dog-friendly, and with Fishtown being packed with pet lovers, it's a pretty perfect fit for Bow-Nut Bites. 🐾

Huge thanks to the Fishtown Fair team and PHL17 for giving this little Philly business a few minutes in the spotlight!

One treat at a time, Bow-Nut Bites has grown through farmers markets, local events, and online orders from dog lovers who believe that simple, natural ingredients matter.

Now it's time for the next chapter.

I'm excited to officially begin partnering with independent pet retailers throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.

Every Bow-Nut Bites product is made in small batches using human-grade ingredients right here in Philadelphia. Whether it's our functional Golden Paste Biscuits, limited-ingredient proteins, or natural grooming essentials, my goal has always been the same: create products I'm proud to hand to fellow dog owners.
