Family owned and operated business that provide boarding and grooming services for all breeds, speci

Founded by Sue and Eric Petermann in 1979, Sanmann Kennels is a family-owned and operated business dedicated to breeding and exhibiting the highest quality Golden Retrievers. With bloodlines going back to the 1960's, our dogs have distinguished themselves in the show ring as well as in obedience trials; earning many AKC titles. Most importantly, our puppies provide true companionship for their families. If you are interested in a Sanmann puppy, please visit our website, www.sanmannkennels.com and complete our questionnaire and return it to the Kennel to help us place the right puppy with you. We breed very infrequently and usually there is a waiting list. We also provide boarding services - Be sure to call early for reservations, we only accept a limited number of dogs so that we can give them the individual attention that they love!

Today we are delighted to share the success stories of handling class student Sue Rogers, and her Wirehaired Dacshunds Tiberius and Leo.

We will start with Tiberius (Reynard’s Tiberius of Blue Bell). Tiberius recently earned his Novice Earth Dog title, which is a huge accomplishment!!!

Then we move on to Leo (Tarlyn's Leonardo Rogers of Blue Bell MW STR). In his first time in the ring, Leo was chosen Winners Dog/Best of Winners/Best of Opposite for a four point major! All we can say is "Wow!"

And finally, last month, Leo was again Winners Dog/Best of Opposite for his fourth major win--and that finished his championship. Congratulations to Leo, Sue, and Leo's breeder Tara Hartman, (who is seen in the third photo).

We are delighted to report that our girl Star (Sanmann's Shining Star) earned her Companion Dog Excellent CDX title recently.

We think of her as “Super” Star, as she finished with three 1st placements and a High in Trial with scores of 197.5, 199 and 198.5 (out of a possible 200)

Star is trained and proudly handled by her owner Eric.

Today we share a lovely win photo with you.

We recently told you about a new champion, a lovely Greater Swiss Mountain Dog named Holly.

In the words of her breeder (our friend Janie Hecker),

“This is Holly's Champion win picture. The person who got her to this achievement is on her lead. Lou Ann Isenberg gets full credit for sticking with a beautiful but very spirited girl. Our day to celebrate finally came! A million thanks to Lou for having the patience and stamina required to get this girl to our goal. Thanks also to Hal Biermann for selecting her Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite S*x making her CH Double Q's Santa Decks the Halls with Holly.”

Congratulations to another handling class team who had a BIG win this past weekend at Morristown NJ

Holly (Greater Swiss Mountain Dog) and Janie are delighted to announce that, pending AKC verification, Holly will be referred to as CH Double Q’s Santa Decks the Halls with Holly.

Holly won her American Bred Class and went Winners Bitch. In the Breed ring, she was selected Best of Opposite. This earned her a three point major…exactly what she needed to finish her championship!

And here's an update on Tzatziki's sister, Skye. Skye is such a joy and lovebug, who now weights in at 60 lbs.

03/29/2026

Today we revisit Tzatziki (5/29/25 DOB to Allie & Ryder) and her big brother Woodruff. She is a very lovely (and happy) grown up girl who spends her time assisting Edith and the crew at Greenloch.

Today we present three generations of Sanmann dogs. Meet Grandma (Prix), Daughter (Star) and Granddaughter (Serry --three months old in this photo).

Woudn't you love to know what they are discussing when no one is watching??? 🤣🤣🤣

We are delighted to share the news that handling class student Aspen received her 1st point at York, from Delaware County Kennel Club. She was first in females, & Best of Opposite S*x!!

Congratulations to our page manager & computer guru, Sue Bower, who co-owns a handsome young Kerry Blue Terrier who had a *great* weekend in his debut as a special at the March Madness shows in Edison, NJ.

Robbie, whose name is in honor of Sue's favorite baseball player (Roberto Clemente), was chosen Select Dog on Friday, Best of Breed on Saturday (at the Philadelphia Kerry Blue Terrier Club's specialty), and Best of Opposite S*x on Sunday.

Sue, and Robbie's breeder, Kathryn Dixon, are delighted that Robbie has earned the right to have the title BISS (for his Best in Specialty Show win on Saturday) in front of his name.

Robbie is seen here with his breeder's friend Kristi, who showed him, as Kathryn had to head back home to await the birth of six Kerry pups who will be arriving very soon!
