To Our Beloved Mutts in Motion Family 🐾❤️
There are moments in life when you know you have to make a difficult decision, even when your heart is telling you that you’re not ready to let go.
This is one of those moments.
Where do we even begin to say thank you?
Thank you for trusting us with your furry babies. Thank you for opening your doors to us and, more importantly, for opening your hearts. You trusted us with something incredibly precious—the care of a member of your family—and that trust has meant more to us than you will ever know.
From the very beginning, we never looked at what we did as “just a job.” It was so much more than that.
Every time a tail wagged when we walked through the door, every excited greeting, every wet nose, every cuddle, every kiss, every purr, and even every little bit of mischief made us smile. We got to know their personalities, their routines, their favorite treats, their favorite spots to be scratched, and all of the little things that made each one of them uniquely special.
Some of them greeted us like we had been gone for years, even if it had only been a day.
And honestly… we loved every minute of it.
Your furry loved ones became part of our lives. We worried about them, laughed with them, spoiled them, talked to them like they could understand every word—and yes, sometimes we probably loved on them a little more than we were supposed to. ❤️
But that’s because we meant it when we said:
Your pets were family to us.
That is what makes this next part so incredibly difficult.
With very heavy hearts, we are officially closing Mutts in Motion Dog Walking Services, LLC.
This is not a temporary pause, and it is not a decision we have made lightly. Mutts in Motion is officially coming to an end.
It has not been an easy decision to step away. In fact, it has been heartbreaking.
My health has taken a hard toll on me, and I have had to finally admit something that has been very difficult for me to accept: I can no longer care for your furry loved ones the way they deserve to be cared for.
And that is something I simply cannot compromise on.
They deserve someone who can show up with the energy, patience, love, and consistency they need. They deserve someone who can give them their very best every single time. I have always promised that I would treat your pets as I would my own, and officially closing our doors is the only way I can keep that promise.
Please believe me when I say that this is not the goodbye we wanted.
There are so many moments I wish I could hold onto—the sound of paws running toward us, the excitement when they realized we were there, the quiet moments sitting beside them, the silly things they did that made us laugh, and all those little faces that became so familiar to us.
We will miss them more than words can possibly express.
And we will miss you, too.
You supported us. You believed in us. You recommended us to your friends and family. You trusted us with your homes and your babies. You gave us the opportunity to build something that became so much more meaningful than a business.
You gave us memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
So, from the absolute bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Thank you for every wagging tail.
Thank you for every purr.
Thank you for every slobbery kiss.
Thank you for every muddy paw print.
Thank you for every photo you sent us.
Thank you for every kind word, every referral, every smile, and every bit of encouragement.
And most of all, thank you for allowing us to love your furry family members.
We may no longer be the ones walking them, feeding them, letting them out, or giving them their midday cuddles, but please know that a little piece of our hearts will always belong to them.
Years from now, we may not remember every walk or every visit, but we will remember their faces.
And we hope that when you think of Mutts in Motion, you don’t remember the ending.
We hope you remember the love.
The happy greetings.
The laughter.
The muddy paws.
The wagging tails.
The countless little moments that made what we did so incredibly special.
Because to us, this was never just a business.
It was a privilege.
It was a privilege to be welcomed into your homes.
A privilege to be trusted with your babies.
A privilege to watch them grow, change, and become part of our everyday lives.
And if we could leave you with just one thing, it would be this:
Please give your furry loved ones an extra hug from us.
Tell them Nancy and Ed still love them.
Tell them they were good boys and good girls.
Tell them we haven’t forgotten them.
And when they look at you with those beautiful eyes that seem to understand far more than they could ever say, give them one more kiss from us.
Because although our time caring for them may be coming to an end, our love for them never will.
We may be closing the doors to Mutts in Motion, but we are not closing the chapters in our hearts that each and every one of you helped write.
You will always be a part of our story.
And your furry loved ones will always have a special place in our hearts.
Thank you for allowing us into your lives.
Thank you for trusting us.
Thank you for becoming our friends.
And thank you for giving us the greatest gift of all—the opportunity to love your furry family members as if they were our own.
We started Mutts in Motion because we loved animals.
But along the way, you gave us so much more than a business.
You gave us friendships.
You gave us laughter.
You gave us memories.
You gave us countless reasons to smile.
And you gave us a whole lot of furry faces to love.
For that, we will be forever grateful.
So this isn’t really goodbye.
It is simply goodbye to the walks, the visits, the schedules, the leashes, and the business.
But it is not goodbye to the love.
That part stays with us.
Always.
With more love and gratitude than words could ever express,
Nancy & Ed
