Boston Terrier love in every playful paw step! 🐾

Anyone give their pups small tidbits or morsels of food while you’re eating? Does it up their aggression or lower it? Does anyone not do it whatsoever? If you have multiple Bostons, does it feed into that pack mentality? Does it help you maintain your position?

This is my parent’s dog! They take him pretty regularly to the vet for his nail clippings/seizures and the vets haven’t said anything about his weight, until I brought up his weight and all they said was that he is “big boned” from what I know, my parents feed him half dry/half wet food (purina lamb cuz he’s allergic to chicken) once a day but does get 1 milk bone after every walk (twice a day).

So I was wondering what you guys think and how big are your Boston’s? I feel like they should be much smaller and skinnier. If you guys feel like he should be on a diet I will definitely let my parents know!

Also, unfortunately my dad bought him at a puppy store (puppy mill) and from what I remember he is a purebred, maybe very in**ed so that could play into his looks? Also, I cannot change vets because this is the only vet that satchmo can tolerate and let them pick him up (gets aggressive when trying to pick up or touch feet). Thank you!

Huge shoutout to whoever recommended this!! My boston owes u one 😂

My boy usually treats plush toys like an absolute joke. Hes either ripping them apart in 5 mins or turning them into a gross, soggy mess that nobody wants to touch. I litterally thought no tug toy would ever survive him.

But I decided to try this angry little blue octopus anyways and omg I’m so glad I did.

A month later and its STILL in one piece after intense daily tug of war. The crazy part is that the inside actually stays dry?? No more nasty wet sponge feeling after he chews on it. That alone is a massive win tbh 🙌

He absolutely loves the crinkly legs and squeaker, it keeps him entertained way longer than his other stuff. Its also been awesome for the kids bc the long legs make it super easy for them to play tug with him safely.

This toy didnt just survive, it made playtime cleaner and way funner for all of us. Absolute game changer! 🐙🐶

I'm not sure, but I think my baby might be allergic to his food. Danny just turned 4 months, and up until last week, he loved his food. Very food motivated. But now he barely eats. If I sprinkle the food on the floor, he'll eat it but won't eat out of the bowl. He's also constantly itchy. I used to have a dog that was allergic to grass, and his little paws and tummy would get red and itchy every time he'd go outside. Danny isn't like that- going outside doesn't seem to bother him. So I'm wondering if it's his food. He currently eats Hill's Science Diet Puppy (Small Bites). Do any of you have any suggestions? From what I hear, Boston's can have sensitive stomachs. Here's a recent pic of him for tax.

Astro will be 11 this year. He’s been throwing up his food after meals in the last several weeks. He’s always had a sensitive stomach, and we’ve been successful on Taste of the Wild Lamb and Ancient grains for the majority of his life up until now. Prior to that he and his sister were eating Pacific Stream and Ancient Grains.

My puppy is 15 weeks old and she is looking so thin. I don’t know if it’s just a growth spurt or if I should be feeding more.

She is on Royal Canine small dog puppy formula and I have her on 1 cup a day (1/3 cup 3x daily) based on her expected weight of 20lbs.

I am just curious about what others are doing and if anyone else has noticed their puppies in a growth spurt. Thanks!
