Dig N Scratch Dog Walking and Cat Care Services Katie Nagy is a neighborhood girl who has lived in the Mayfair/Holmesburg area her entire life.

She attended Holmesburg Baptist Christian School and Lincoln High School before going on to college at East Stroudsburg University. There she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and then earned her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Eastern University. Katie has worked in the education field since 2002 but her very first job at the age of 14 was as a veterinary assistant at Terry An

imal Hospital. Katie has always had a great love for animals. She began volunteering at the PSPCA and The Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia in 2009 where she began walking dogs at both locations. Katie has fulfilled several different volunteer roles at ACCT since she began volunteering. These roles include dog and cat foster parent, dog behavior team member, adoption event leader, pen pal, and new volunteer mentor. In 2013 Katie is working towards turning her passion for animals into a career by starting Dig~N~Scratch Dog Walking and Cat Care Services. Katie currently owns a home in Holmesburg where she lives with her husband who is a Philadelphia Police Officer, her son and her two dogs and one cat (and the occasional foster animal).
