We have the BIGGEST thank you for this amazing young lady!

Kadence recently held a yard sale and raised $166 for Harley’s Haven! She even sent us this sweet video to share the news, with a little help from her pup Nova, formally known as Nutmeg!

Kadence - we are SO grateful for you! Choosing to spend your time raising money to help our dogs is pretty incredible, and we hope you know how much it means to us!!

THANK YOU!

Darwin believes personal space is overrated—he prefers to stay up close, personal and fully informed about everything you’re doing😂

This handsome Foxhound is an active, rough-and-tumble boy who loves to play, especially with other dogs. He’s fun, affectionate, fantastic with people and always ready for his next adventure.

Darwin needs plenty of exercise, and like any true hound, his nose can get him into trouble—so he must always be leashed or safely inside a fenced yard.

If you’re looking for a goofy adventure buddy who will also be right in the middle of your business, Darwin may be your boy. ❤️

Happy Saturday! 🌞

Oliver is here to tell you about his many talents, and opening up your Amazon packages to hand deliver them to you is one of them!🤣📦🧦

Oliver is looking for a very active home with adults who have a good sense of humor 🤪, and who will give him both the mental and physical exercise he needs! He loves other dogs, and we think he would really thrive with another dog in the home to buddy around with!

Read more about him in his bio if you’re smitten with that cutie face, and how could you not be!? 😍

Reign has the kind of story that deserves to be told slowly.

It begins at ACCT, where a six-year-old dog was running out of time. Reign was saved from her timestamp and given what everyone hoped was a new beginning.

But shortly afterward, frightened and unsure of the world around her, she broke through the door of the person fostering her at the time—and vanished.

For nearly two months, Reign lived alone across thousands of acres of rural farmland.

She became a shadow in the night.

She avoided people, traveled beneath the cover of darkness and learned to rely entirely on instinct. While most lost dogs eventually establish some sort of routine, Reign rarely did. She might appear at a food station once, eat enough to keep going and then disappear again for days or even weeks.

One of our fosters volunteers in lost-dog recovery and joined the effort to bring her home. But Reign was not easily found. She lived almost like a ghost. She crossed fields, followed tree lines and survived heat waves with no one beside her.

There were long stretches without a single confirmed sighting, when all anyone could do was hope she was still out there.

Then, nearly two months after she disappeared, the smallest break finally came. Reign was spotted more than 18 miles from where her journey began. Against all odds, she was safely trapped that very night.

And shortly afterward, her story with Harley’s Haven began.

Reign is safe now—but being found was not the end of her journey.

She remains afraid of the world and wary of unfamiliar people. Trust does not come quickly for her, and it cannot be rushed. Anyone seriously interested in adopting Reign must be willing to meet her multiple times and allow a relationship to develop entirely on her terms.

But when Reign finally decides someone is safe, she loves them deeply. Beneath all those layers of fear is a loyal, affectionate dog who wants to be close to her trusted people and is happiest curled up beside them.

Still, parts of the dog who survived alone remain.

After living essentially in the wild for so long, Reign’s internal clock is still somewhat nocturnal. She becomes more alert and active after dark because nighttime was when she learned it was safest to move. We expect this to improve as she continues to decompress, but her future family must be patient while she learns that she no longer has to live like a lost dog.

Her instinct to escape must also be taken extremely seriously. Reign can open doors, has broken out of crates and will unfortunately take advantage of an unsecured exit in seconds. This is not a temporary concern. Her adopter must have experience managing extreme flight-risk dogs and be prepared to follow strict safety measures every single day.

Reign does well with other dogs and will need an adult-only home. She is not a dog who can simply be brought home and expected to settle easily into an ordinary life. Her needs are significant, and her safety must always come before convenience.

The fact that Reign survived and is here to be posted tonight is nothing short of a miracle. She endured multiple heat waves alone, traveled more than 18 miles across unfamiliar land and stayed alive despite it all.

She fought too hard for her life for us to take any chances with it now.

Not every story needs a hurried ending. Some are important enough to wait for the right one.

Until Reign’s person comes along—however long that may take—she will remain safe, protected and deeply loved with us.

Now for the fine print—please read it in its entirety:
