HELP PUPPIES OUTGROW THE POOP-EATING HABIT

Puppies do a lot of cute things, and lots of NOT so cute things.
For some puppies, the NOT-SO-CUTE THINGS include eating p**p…, their own p**p, other dog’s p**p.
It might start around 4-9 months of age & get worse around 1 year. And fortunately most puppies will outgrow this bad habit.

Understanding the reasons why they have that habit enables us help them outgrow this habit.

Consider the 4 following tips to help them along:

1. Build more consistent play time into their day. Because puppies might eat p**p out of boredom.
2. Make sure the cat’s litter box is always kept away from puppy.
3. Walk your puppy on a leash
So you can see what she might pick up outside
4. Reward your puppy for leaving p**p alone
It’s one of the yuckiest dog habits but with patience you can help your puppy break it.

🐹This is Eclipse. Every day she leaves her house, by herself, and takes the bus downtown to the dog park where she spends a couple of hours getting exercise and making friends, and then she takes the bus back home again. She even has her own bus pass attached to the collar.

It started when her owner, Jeff Young, was taking too long when the bus arrived, so she impatiently ran ahead and got on the bus by herself. The bus driver recognized her and dropped her off at the dog park, and later Jeff caught up with her. After several more trips by herself, Jeff started letting her go on her own, and she always comes back home a couple of hours later.

All of the bus drivers know her and she makes them smile, and many of the regular passengers enjoy seeing her every day and will often sit down next to her. Even the police have given their approval as long as the bus drivers are okay with the arrangement. "She makes everybody happy."❣️❣️

BRAVO to the BRAVE LOVELY "HEROES"
Photo 1&2: The scenes surprised one couple in Australia when they opened the door. Their furry pet was bringing a little koala in his back. They guess the koala had his mom missing in the fires and was saved by their dog. How lovely :)

🐹The Vitoria fire is heartbreaking for animal lovers all over the world, but a heartwarming piece of news is that many dog owners did not leave the four-legged companions behind!
🐹🐹READ THE STORY: BRET HADDEN AND THE SLED DOGS STRANDED IN OMEO
"A group of around 60 sled dogs have been left stranded in the Victorian fire zone and their owner is refusing to leave without them.
About 50 residents have been evacuated from the area by Chinook helicopters, but the aircraft are only able to carry people.
"I would love to evacuate, but I've got too many animals," Hadden told."They know what's going on, but as long as I'm here, they're okay".
Hadden has been sleeping in a swag while the dogs are tied alongside each other to a fence at the showground.
On Sunday, he was able to briefly return to his home, which is still standing.
"The flames came up the mountain ridge and went right around it," he said.
The temperature in Omeo dipped to below 10 degrees and there was light rain, providing some relief for firefighters.
Hadden has been caring for the huskies for many years and they work as sled dogs in the alpine region.
About 300 people have chosen to stay in the Omeo township and rain overnight on Sunday provided some relief.
Those 50 who were evacuated were flown to Bairnsdale on the western side of the fires, before being transported to Sale.
The fire danger rating forecast for East Gippsland and the north east of Victoria on Monday is low to moderate, with temperatures of under 20C forecast.
The intense fire activity in the southeast and northeast of Victoria, however, is producing hazardous smoke conditions that are likely to worsen on Monday, EPA Victoria said.
"This will be a changing, dynamic situation. We know that the weather will start to warm up and that when we get into Thursday and Friday, potential spike days again," Emergency Management Commissioner Andrew Crisp said".
