Started Rex’s first round of testing to determine what exactly is going on.
On a brighter note; started K9 Rex’s training to be able to use his soon to be made Bailey chair! Thank you so much to Bailey chairs 4 Dogs for helping us start his training properly and for taking the time out of y’all’s extremely busy schedules to make him his own chair❣️ We’d also like to express out gratitude to Srg Gambino and Sheriff Craddock in Sumner County for helping us get K9 Rex crosscountry❣️ We can’t express how much everything y’all have done means to us!

Rex is busy adjusting to his medication and as a result is still was having some diarrhea For now, We are utilizing one of our nicely heated and cooled kennels. He is doing well He is trying to adjust to his new environment. He is an incredibly good boy
We are going to be taking him to a specialty hospital on Friday to be seen sooner than his appointment with the neurologist on the 28th.
She will be there as well (and if we come to the emergency room, she will be able to see him.) He has significant extremity weakness, particularly in the back legs. It definitely fluctuates and there are times when it is not as bad and times when it is pretty significant. He seems very symptomatic from his myasthenia Gravis . I want to make sure this is not an acute fulminant case that would require additional medication.
He may end up needing an immunosuppressant and/ or steroids First we need to get a chest x-ray to make sure there is no residual pneumonia

I would like everyone to say hello to Rex! Rex is the newest hero dog to the family here at Fen’s Haven. Our newest little member has a lot of medical needs and we are more than happy to make sure that he has the best years of his life here at Fen’s Haven.
