Lately, I’ve been finding so much of my inspiration in the pages of children’s books. 🎃📚

The colors, the little details, the feeling of a childhood memory you can’t quite put into words. This Halloween bookshelf I put together for my daughter is a little reminder of why I love creating in the first place.

I think I’m slowly finding my way into a new chapter of Kurz & Co, too. Refining my process, following what inspires me, and making room for more of the things I love: thoughtful details, nostalgic finds, handmade touches, and little pieces of magic that make a house feel like home.

Sometimes the best inspiration is already sitting on your bookshelf. 🤎

A little reminder that you don’t need to buy new things to make childhood feel magical. 🍂📚

I thrifted these sweet little plates for a fall picnic inspired by the books my daughter is loving right now, and I can’t think of a better way to spend an autumn afternoon than bringing her favorite stories to life in little ways like this.

I want our home to be filled with things that have a story to tell. Thrifted treasures, well-loved books, handmade details, and little traditions that she might not remember perfectly someday, but I hope she remembers how they felt. 🤎

That’s the heart behind Kurz & Co — finding beauty in old things, giving them new life, and finding inspiration in the little things we might otherwise overlook.

🎃EVERYTHING MUST GO 🎃

I’m bringing ALL the leftover handmade, upcycled & one-of-a-kind goodies to the next farmers market and once they’re gone, they’re GONE. 👀

I’ve spent the last few years sewing and making custom things for other people, and honestly… I’m ready to focus on sewing for my little one!! 🥰

So instead of packing everything away, I’m clearing it OUT at a major discount. Think handmade pieces, thrifted finds, kids’ goodies, vintage-inspired things, and all the random treasures currently taking over my sewing room, aka my dining room😂

Come early, dig through the goodies, and snag something you love because I’m not making another one.

I’ve got a few final pieces from the booth that feel very summer-in-the-Adirondacks + backyard-fireworks-core:
